The Algona Upper Des Koines, Algona, Iowa, April 16,1943 ^"^•^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^•^^••^••^•^••••^••••^••••i Kossuth Is Asked To Buy 2 Engine In April v *- ? i WE CAN'T LET OUR BOYS DOWN V O£ • r" • He SAys "Thumbs Up" What Do You Say? Uncle Sam is YOU. Uncle Sam needs 13 billions of dollars in April. That "13" is going to be unlucky. It is unlucky for Adolph, the well-known paperhanger, or it is unlucky for us. It is unlucky for Adolph if Uncle Sam gets the 13 billions. It will be unlucky for Uncle Sam and some of his nephews in Africa and. elsewhere if we don't. The Son of Heaven in Japan was bombed a year ago. He hasn't seen any fireworks since. We haven't had the bombers. We haven't put on the steam on our bond-buying. Kossuth county this month is asked to buy enough bonds to buy a couple of those bombers plus four scrapping fighters to go along to shoot down any flying sons of the setting sun that get in the way. Kossuth county won't let its place in the parade be blank. Each and every person in the county is 'responsible for a war bond this month, as big a bond as he can get. Buy these bonds this week—next week—and the next week. Don't buy till it hurts— buy till it feels good. Send your "personal" message to Berlin and Tokio in Kossuth's bombers. Our boys will see that delivery of bombs is made. We can't let them down. BUY MORE BONDS IN APRIL This Appeal Paid For By i,l\ *l •<& 1 Algona Federal Saving* ft Loan AMU,' Algona Bottling Work.
