Bertha A. Bobbett, 73, of 822 S. Webster died at 8:20 p.m. yesterday in her home. She had been ill since March.

Mrs. Bobbett lived in Decatur since 1928, coming from Monticello. She was born March 7, 1885 in Fairfield, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Matthews.

Mrs. Bobbett was married to Charles A. Bobbett, July 16, 1905 in Fairfield. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary three vears ago. Mrs.

Bobbett leaves her husband: four sons, Eldon of Hammond, Lowell of Cerro Gordo and Carroll and Dennis, both of Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. Lyndal Plummer of Bement, Mrs. Mary Allen of Monticello and Mrs. Pearl Shonkwiler of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Vicy Porter of Fairfield; 11 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Bobbett was a member of the Woodlawn Methodist Church in Fairfield. The body is in the Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete. PRISONERS PREFER JAIL TO RELEASE FOR YULE Quebec, Dec.
