Commerce market RACINE SUNDAY BULLETIN Sunday, Ftbruary 9, 1964 3,000 Members Is Goal Set by Vacation Assn. A goal of 3,000 members has been set for the new eight- county Southeastern Wisconsin Vacationland according to Norman Seeger, who recently was elected Racine County director for the association. A meeting of charter members will be held March 5 at the Abbey, Fontana.

Would Promote Tourism Seeger said the $15 annual membership fee would give members a listing in a direc tory and enable them to assist with the promotion of the area. Seeger said there are many things within Racine that tourists would visit if they were aware of them. Goals of the association, adopted at a meeting Jan. 16 and 17: "To develop and maintain at the highest level facilities and services to the public in general, and the tourist and vacationer in particular. "To improve standards, promote an interchange of information between members, to take an active part in op posing or approving tion and regulations, at both county and state levels, af fecting our businesses, and otherwise seek to project favorable image of southeast ern Wisconsin as a desirable and hospitable tourist and va cation area." Plan Events Calendar Plans include development of a calendar of events, publication of a tourist guide and of a directory of facilities and businesses.

Seeger said Charles Dunkel of the White Oaks Restaurant on County Trunk south of Burlington has been named assistant director for Racine County. He said 25 captains will be named to represent districts in the county for the membership campaign. GEORGIA LEADS IN CLAY In production of kaolin, or china clay, Georgia leads all the other states.
