Street The State Liquor Comjnisslon took the matter under advise ment after a three hour hear ing 1 The Rev Adams pastor of Paradise Baptist Church 1811 North Twenty third Street pro tested that the because of a freak accident last August The suit was brought by the estate of John Stevens who lived at 1433 Jaynes Street against Union Transfer Com pany Mr Stevens was a member of a city street marking crew working near Thirtieth Street and St Avenue A street marking tape was being dragged behind a city truck The Union truck driven by George A Hol lis 2307 Avenue East Omaha drove onto the end of the tape Mr Stevens was flipped when caught in a loop of the tape He died September 14 sive scale was the objective of a group of Nebraskans who met in Omaha Thursday Representatives of various segments of the Nebraska livestock industry met in the Livestock Exchange Buildingand organized the Nebraska Beef Council Chester Paxton of Thedford was elected chairman Melvin Todd of Union vice letters from viewers of the station expressing dissatisfac tion with the proposal by CBS to cancel the KHOL TV contract effective ebruary 1 However a station spokes man said the drive had reached
