dynamite needing only a lighted fuse performed well on both quick opening off tackle and end sweep plays He scored twice on runs of over 50 yards from off tackle and outfaked the whole Maumee de fense to romp 65 yards around end for another TD a George who likes to play foot ball as well as eating and sleeping scored one of the Bobcats six pointers on an off tackle run of 55 yards Sprague an elusive 130 pound junior outwitted the Maumee Jads while scampering to two touch downs one for 60 yards and Manhart although he failed to score gave indications of being one of the hardest ripmers on the team Coach Kinkade although pleas ed was quick to point out that the Bobcats were perfor i against a team which along slower than we The offensive line seemed to be blocking very well Had they not lodge golfers succeeded in getting the third leg on the big trophy yester day when they defeated clubbers from Defiance and Napoleon on the local course The Defiance club had two legs on the trophy and was making a supreme effort to nab it perma nently also but failed by a fairly wide margin when every playing member of the local team scored at least a point Beegee dropped all of the points in only one match and that was one in which John Cheetwood failed to show and the points were for feited The final points score put the local lodge ahead 48 to 39 to 21 with Napoleon trailing Harley Ash turned in the lowest score of the afternoon posting a one under par 69 Emerson 74 and Dick 76 were next Ed Charles was low for Defi ance with 76 while Ritter paced the Napoleon players with 74 The visitors and BG players treated to a sumptuous bone steak dinner at the Elks Grill fol lowing the match During a brief discussion ses sion the three representa tives voted to suggest to their
