jr. report It I'd Non-Contract Air Employes Face Pay Cut TWA Deadline For Wage Action Set at Aug. 24 NEW YORK, Aug. 11 (AP) Non-contract employes of Trans World Airlines were told today that if the airline strike continues beyond Aug. 24 their salaries will be cut again.

An airline representative said the employes have been advised that their salaries would be reduced to 40 per cent of normal for those earning 1p than SlfXWI hut that no one would get iess than $300 a month. Those earning more than $10,000 annually will receive extra cuts keyed to the amount of their salaries, he said. Of a total of 33,200 employes, 16,700 non-c a employes have been kept on the payroll on an emergency pay procedure. This provided full pay for the first 13 working days of the strike to; July 26 when pay was re duced by 20 per cent. Employes choosing to take vacations during the strike are being allowed to do so at full pay.

Overseas nationals employed by the line are not affected by the strike cuts. In addition, the airline occasionally employes 150 pilots and 125 hostesses on military flights which are not affected by the strike. The strike was called July 8 by the International Association of Machinists against TWA, Eastern, National, Northwest and United Airlines. Aiken Renamed VP by Union Regis C. Aiken, Pittsburgh union leader, was elected yesterday without opposition to a second five-year term as International vice president of the AFL-CIO United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting industry of the United States and Canada.
