Her father, who was prominent in civic and church activities in Chester, came from Yorkshire, England, in 1840. Mrs. was a charter member of Holy Cross Church and served many years as treasurer of the Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, A.

Stanley Gruver, of Latham; a daughter, Mrs. Henry C. Hoffmann. of Fanwood, N. and a son, Richard O.
