he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Taylor. He retired from Coca, Cola after years of service.

He was a veteran of World War 1 and was a member of the American Legion. Taylor was never married. Survivors include his step mother, Mrs. Margaret Taylor of ELwood, two sisters, Mrs. Edith Sheckle of Muncie, and Mrs.

Lola Jones: two brothers, Ralph Taylor of Elwood and Chesel of Muncie: three half sisters. Mrs. Hazel don, Mrs. Thelma Pedro and Ruth VanNess of Elwood; four half brothers. Arley Taylor and Robert O.

Taylor of Muncie, Arthur Taylor, and Edward Taylor of Frankton and two step brothers, er Merida of Gary, and Carl Merida of Elwood. The body is at the Copher and Fester funeral home where services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. H.V. Linday will officiate.

Harold of Aliquippa and Mrs. John Orystick, of Gary. Funeral services were held today in the Pennsylvania city with burial in a cemetery there. Daisy Nuding Dies In Illinois Mrs. Leander (Daisy) Nuding of Kewanee, and formerly of Elwood, died.

May 3 at the hospital there. Mrs. Nuding moved a- way from Elwood some 38 years ago. The daughter of Leopold and Mahalia Miller Kieter, she was born March 18, 1877 in ville, Ind. She married Leander Nuding on 1 Oct.31, 1903 in Elwood.

Surviving are her husband and the following children: Iva ing and Ralph Nuding, Kewanee, Mrs. Jacob Verkruysse Inglewood. Mrs. Louis Millen of Kewance. Mrs.

Burial will be in the Elwood City cemetery. Struck By Car; Condition Good Susan Poole, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Poole of near Curtisville was reported in a good condition at Mercy Hospital today. Miss Poole was hospitalized Saturday night when struck by an automobile.

Park Dies Sunday; Rites Wednesday TIPTON Luke R. Park, 61, route 3 Tipton, died Sunday noon of a heart ailment. Funeral rites will be morning at Goldsmith, at 10 o'- clock. Rev. Hubbell will officiate.

Bertha Wood of Goldsmith; two brothers. Frank Park of Goldsmith and Bernie Park of route 3, Tipton and nine grandchildren. 2nd FLOOR ELEVATOR SERVICE 13 Confirmed In Episcopal Church Rites A total of 13 persons were confirmed in the Episcopal faith Sunday at St. Stephen's Episcopal Mission, located on Ind. 37, south by the Rt. Rev. John P.

Red Geo. W. Croy, 83, Dies Sunday At Alexandria Home ALEXANDRIA Funeral services' for George W. Croy, 83 years old, who died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday after an illness of nine years, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m.

at the Karl M. Kyle funeral home with Jack Albertson, pastor of the First Christian church officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery. A resident of Alexandria for the past 42 years, have come here from Elwood, he was a retired farmer and resided north of the city for 17 years before moving to his present home at 108 So. Black street.

Born May 19, 1876 in Clinton county, the son of Michael Croy and Nancy Powers, he was married to Maude Langston, who vives, on Oct. 20, 1906 at Marion. He was a member of the Alexandria First Christian church, and a member of the former IO0F lodge here. Besides the wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs Fay Roby of Alexandria, two half-brothers, Frank Duckworth of Summitville and Charles Duckworth of Anderson; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A son, King, preceding him in death in 1932.

Friends may call at the Kyle funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight. White Men Face Negro Rape Charge TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UPI) Four young white men accused of raping a Negro co-ed go on trial Wednesday. Under Florida law they could receive the death penalty.
