The Jersey ville Lions Club held its weekly dinner meeting Monday noon at ihe Peace Evanglical and Reformed Church. The club went on record as favoring the immediate hauling of water to supplement the pre- Seven Arrested For Trespassing An Jersey Area JERSEYVILLE The hot weather of the past week ftas brought numerous complaints from rural residents regarding trespassers oh their premises. The majority of the complaints are arising from creek land localities where transients have swarmed in numbers from Ihe cities south of here in search for placei to swim, camp and seek relief from the sweltering heat.

Sheriff Herman H. Balckorby and Deputy Sheriff Herman Kirchner were called to the vicinity of the Paul Ives place in the Piasa Creek vicinity Saturday evening where a group of nicers were reported as trespassing on Ives corn fields. Ives is reported to have ordered the group out and further difficulty developed. 'A neighbor of Ives is reported to have used the possession of a shotgun to quell the growing disturbance. Seven members of the alleged trespassing group were arrested on complaints filed by Ives.

Each was charged with trespass and distrubing the peace. Bond for was furnished by the seven and the cases were set for June 29. The next evening two other arrests were made on complaints filed by Ives against Alt residents. The two were charged with trespass. They pleaded guilty Before Justice A.
