NEW AT THE SHOP We hnvo a cute little gadget hanging on our south wall out hero al Irons' shop. Not so little, c'ihov. It's H brand- new shining rack holding a whole rncs-; oi the latest bathroom iixiuros, such as towal rarlts, i o.'.p dis-hes, etc. All in bright shining chromium <'ncl cjUvss. Some of the desif-iiis of tlioso things are really ^ood. Cosno out and look 'om over—maybe H new towel raok or a soap dish is just \vh.il you want. THAT TIE Well, I finally broke down and donnod that loud Christmas tie Sunday. I didn't have to look at it, but Mrs. Irons did, and later in the day she complained that her oyes were getting sore. THE.PHONE KEEPS JUMRl^G The telephone company must be losing money on our phone out here at the shop, because in spite of cold weather (or maybe because of it) our phone has been rattling all over the desk lately. In the last two days we have got a number of inquiries ,on furnaces—also on complete bathroom installations. We are telling these folks that everything points to some really tough shortages in steel and cast iron in '48, and if a homeowner is going to need a furnace later anyway, what's wrong with getting into the matter now? It's worth while investigating what you can do, if you are going to need such items as a furnace, cast iron pipe, or bath fixtures later. "My, you look just line,, dear. Must be that good rest you are getting." BEEN AROUND JUST TOO LONG We're speaking of a hot water heater unit complete with oil-burner that we have in the shop out here. It's just been standing there too long (Yes. some stuff doesn't sell out in a hurry). Well, we want to get it out oi here, and if a decent P**£»_ will do it. Mister, this one is going lo move. Actually, it's a big ht>t water heater, or 4 small boiler that will give plenty of radiation. .Has oil-burner right on it. Price includes the works. Might look iijlo this— some one will be a lucky' customer on it.
