RACINE SUNDAY IULLETIN Sunday, Sept. 29,1963 Program 'Curtain 7 Raised by Children's Theatre Mystery, music and merriment are basic ingredients being combined by the Racine Children's Theatre Council for its 1963-64 programs in the Stcrelczyk Photo MRS. DONALD KARASEK (Fallis Nauta) Fa I lis Nauta, Donald Karasek Wed in St. Rose A Nuptial High Mass, with Rev. John Burns as celebrant, was offered in St.

Rose Church at 11 a.m. Sept. 21 for Donald Frank Karasek and his bride, the former Fallis Bendette Nauta. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs.

Harold P. Nauta of Route 1, Bristol, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Christopherson of 1237 Ohio Street. Escorted by her father, the bride appeared in a gown silk over taffeta with an Alen- con lace yoke scattered with seed pearls.

Similar lace was appliqued on the full skirt which swept into a cathedral train. Her butterfly illusion veil was held in place by a lace headpiece embroidered in pearls. She carried a white orchid surrounded by white carnations and white roses. The bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Carol Langrehr, was the matron of honor and bridesmaids were, Gail Hurbis and Patricia Nauta, sister of the bride.

Their gold taffeta floor length sheaths were topped by pleated overskirts caught with fabric ryses. They wore matching headpieces trimmed with pearls and carrying circular veils. In their bouquets, bronze and yellow pompons were combined with wheat. Robert Thomas was the best man and groomsmen were Charles Bouwens and Michael Brennan of Chicago, cousin of the bridegroom Ushers were Frank La Boda and Richard Pirk. The ceremony preceded a dinner for 150 at Danish Brotherhood Hall, and a buffet and evening reception there, attended by several hundred guests.

The bride's mother wore a green brocade sheath with white accessories and the bridegroom's mother a cranberry satin sheath with gold accessories. The Karaseks visited northern Michigan and Niagara Falls on their wedding trip, and will make their home at 1525 Flett Ave. Junior and Senior Series at the Frank R. Starbuck Junior High School Theater. "Witch's Lullaby," opening play for the Junior Series, will be staged by the Racine The atre Guild, under the direction of Stella Nathan, on Nov, 9 and 16th.

"Mystery of the Old Fort" is the initial offering in the Senior Series. Starbuck Junior High, under the direction of Dave Jeffers, will stage the story of adventure on Oct. 25 and 26th. Junior Series Performances in the Junior Series will be given on Saturdays at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m.

They are designed primarily for children in kindergarten through the third grade. "Red Shoes," by Horlick School students, directed by Joe Mooney, is scheduled for Dec. 7 and 14th; "Beauty and the Beast" with Joan Smith directing Junior League players, Feb. 29 and March and "The Camel with the Wrinkled Knees," by the Children's Theatre, April 11th and 18th. The latter is under the direction of Sylvia Hartl.

Senior Series The Senior Series, primarily for students in the fourth through sixth grades, will include programs at 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday and 7:30 p.m. on Fridays, "Junior High Night." Students and adults may at tend either or both series. Washington Junior High ac tors, directed by William Clark, will enact the original musical version of "Heidi," written by Clark, on Nov. 22 and 23d.

Leon Fosha will direct the Kiwanis Youth Symphony, Jan 24 and 25th, in a "Concert for Youth." On April 3 and 4 the Illinois Ballet under the dir rection of Richard Ellis, will present "Ballet for Young People." Information on tickets for the series will be distributed to the students at the various schools with Oct. 10 and 11th scheduled as purchase dates. Portrait Mary Klapat Betrothed The engagement of Mary Jane Klapat to Ralph David Lorentzen has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klapat, 2023 Slauson Ave.

Parents of the bridegroom-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Oley Lorentzen of 1446 Carlisle Ave. The couple has not set a wedding date. Lee-Springsteen Vows Repeated in Yorkville Methodist Church The Yorkville Methodist Church was the setting, 14, for the wedding ceremony uniting Sandra Lee Springsteen and Vernon G.

Lee. Of- ficiating at the 4 p.m. was the Rev. Richard O'Niel. The bride, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Charles 'Springsteen of Caledonia, was presented in marriage by her father. The bridegroom is the son of Rodney Lee of Paris Corners. For her wedding the bride chose a gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta. The princess style dress had long, tapered sleeves and a basque bodice with a sweetheart neckline piped in satin.

The bouffant lace skirt had an overskirt of satin sweeping irito a brush train. A pearl crown secured the bride's veil and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis foliage with cascading ivy. Loralou Hambleton, maid of honor, and Jeanne Crapser and Mrs. Bernard Diveley, sister of the bridegroom, were dressed in gold brocade. The gowns had basque bodices and skirts with controlled fullness and mock front over- skirts.Sleeves were long and tapered and necklines scooped.

They wore crowns of gold net and pearls with circular veils and carried gold and rust-colored pompons with variegated leaves. Best man was Roger Springsteen, brother of the bride. Edward McNamar and Bernard Dively were grooms men and Glenn Lee and Don aid Christiansen, brothers of the bridegroom shared ushering duties. A supper for members of immediate family preceded a Studio MRS. VERNON LEE (Sandra Springsteen) reception at Johnson's Hall Mrs.

Springsteen assisted in the reception line wearing a green brocade sheath and jacket and matching accessories. 1 Her corsage was of pink and white roses. Mr. and Mrs. Lee are at home at 1439 Lathrop after a wedding trip to Canada via the Lake Superior circle route.

and Mrs. Jerome Thielen of 1127 Geneva St. A wedding reception was held at the Wyrich home and the couple is residing at 744 Park Ave. The bride's mother, in the reception line, wore a green sheath dress and the bridegroom's mother chose a blue lace dress. Their corsages were of pink roses and white carnations.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white silk street length dress with a nylon bodice. A bridal veil was caught to her crown and she carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and white carnations. Maid of honor was Charlotte Wurster and she wore a pink lace dress with matching veil and carried a bouquet identical to the bride's. Daniel P. Thielen was best man.

Before her wedding, the bride-elect was honored at a shower given by Charlotte Wurster and Virginia Blaesing at 2 Erie St. Mrs. William Curry and Mrs. Walter Granitske held a shower in Cudahy. Christiansens Plight Troth in Racine Barbara Christman, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Norbert Christman of 1801 Grand Ave. and Arnold Christiansen son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Christiansen of 1001 Grove were united in marriage Sept.

21. the Rev. Alfred Langhough officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony in Our Savior's 'lAJtheran Church. After a reception at the Christiansen home on Grove the couple took a wedding (rip to northern Wisconsin.

The bride wore a gown of Chantiliy lace over light blue taffeta with long tapered sleeves, neckline and full circular train caught with roses at the back. Her crown of seed pearls held an illusion veil and she carried a cascade bouquet of blue tinted carnations, pink roses and a white orchid. Linda Christman, maid of honor, chose a light blue taffeta gown with flowing overskirt trimmed in deep blue taffeta, a bateau neckline and three quarter length sleeves. She wore a matching velvet crown and rose, which held a circular veil, and her cascade bouquet was of blue tinted carnations. William Hess was best man.

The bride's mother chose a blue dress of silk and chiffon with blue and black accesso ries. The mother of the bridegroom wore a beige brocade jacket dress with brown ac- cesories. Each wore a corsage of pink roses and carnations. Prior to the wedding, miscellaneous showers honored the bride. Mrs.

Arnold Chrisiansen Sr. was hostess at her home with Mrs. Freda Roberts and Mrs. Anita Christiansen Btudlo MRS. ARNOLD CHRISTIANSEN JR.

Billie Lou Rasmussen, maid of honor, wore a gold silk suit and carried a bouquet melon chrysanthemums, yellow roses and ivy. Attending the. bridegroom as best man was his brother, Marshall D. Nielsen. The mother of the bride chose a blue silk sheath with matching embroidered coat and beige accessories.
