Miss Maude Hummer is vacationing at Rehoboth Beach for the next two weeks. Howard Seward, Betty Marsh and Rose Mary Williams are spending this Mt. Etna Camp, Del. Mrs. Virginia Heather and son, Tommy, have returned home after spending a month visiting with relatives in New York State.

Guests in the Henry Wilkens household are Mr. and Mrs. Ciaus Wilkens and their daughter, Mrs. Pauline Price, and'children, Wayne and Yuanita, all of Tacoma Park, Washington, D. C.

Master Leslie States and his grandfather, Mr. Charles Shevv- brooks, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sharp, in Wilmington, on Sunday. The Marydel Methodist Sunday School will not meet during the month of August, but will resume activities beginning with the first Sunday in September, the 6th, at 10 a.

The Marydel Volunteer Fire Company is planning to hold its annual carnival in September, beginning Wednesday, the 2nd, and extending to Labor Day, September 7th, at which time a 21-inch RCA television set will be chanced off. The carnival committee consists of Paul Smith, chairman; assisted by Lee Leslie, Edgar Harman, Frank Bezerics, Earl Thompson and Louis Antol, Jr. In charge of lights is Frank Bezerics, in charge of booths is Lee Leslie, in charge of the speaking system is James Walker, and in charge of the chance booth is T. E.

Heather, Jr. The parade will be held on Friday evening, Sept. 4th, beginning at p. m. RIDGELY Miss Jane Ringgold is serving us head page this week at the 4-II Short Course at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dudley CaItalian, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Callahan, is a patient in Memorial Hospital, Easton. John Darling is a patient in the Veterans Hospital, at Fort Howard. Mrs.

and Mrs. J. Keene Saulshury, of Rehoboth Beach, attended the Ridgely Horse Show on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.

Clinton W. Guthrie visited Mr. Guthrie's relatives, in Philadelphia, last Sunday. Miss Nancy Cooper is spending four weeks with relatives and friends, at Birdsboro, Pa. Mr.

and Mrs. Walter R. Moore entertained on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Granville Hooper, of Cambridge, and their grandsons, Bobby, Timmie, Jack and Pat Anderson, of Baltimore.

Mr. and Mrs. Seth Cronk, of Kingston, N. Mrs. Donald Morgan, of Allentown, spent the week-end with their sister, Mrs.

James Stack. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stack, of Sudlersville, were her guests. Miss Dorothy Ahl and Miss Martha, of Franklin Lake, N.

are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mc- Nomee for two weeks. All are active in the Bible School being held at the Ridgely Methodist Church. Mrs.

Hansen Hoffman and son, Jay; Miss Elnora Hoffman were guests of the Kent County Farm Bureau at their picnic. Mrs. Charles Samis, after spending the week-end with relatives, returned to Philadelphia, accompanied by her granddaughter, Miss Gail Schaffer. Miss Elnora Hoffman recently spent a week-end with Miss Neta Salinski, at Havre de Grace, and attended the Sharp-Roberts wedding. Mrs.

Walter Bennington and sister, Mrs. J. A. Sharp, of Wilmington, were in Ridgely on Tuesday. The Rev.

Wilson Davis has been spending part of this week at Pennsylvania State Firemen's Training Conference where he is showing his slides on farm fire ponds as a resource leader in Rural Fire Protection. Ridgely's Horse Show was attended according to Martin L. Sutton, chairman, by over 800 and was a success in every way. As usual the committee entertained those who assisted and some of those who participated following the show at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Edward D. Sparks. Charles Harrington, stationed at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, is at home with his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harrington, on a 20- day leave.

Miss Betty Harrington, of York, has returned after a week of vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harrington. Mr. and Mrs.
