Turkington, on Saturday, May 16, at 7 p. m. The attendants were the groom's brother and sister-in-law. Mr. and Mrs.

Lewis Anthony. The bride chose a lovely white dress, white accessories and a corsage of red rosebuds. Mrs. Anthony was dressed in light blue with white accessories and a red rose corsage. A reception was held at the home of Mr.

and Mrs. Lewis Anthony. The groom, who is serving with the U. S. Army, returned to his camp in Virginia on Monday.

Mrs. Anthony will reside with her mother. The young couple received many nice and useful gifts from their many friends and relatives. PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs.

W. E. Meluney. of Seaford, were dinner guests of their brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs.

Franklin Johnson. Mrs. Bill Shorts also was a guest. Mrs. Anah B.

Cooper and daughter, Mrs. John Snyder, and children and Mrs. Reyner Dukes, of. Baltimore, were Saturday guests of Mrs. Edward Willey.

Mrs. Fannie Biger and Miss Helen Selin visited with friends in Ridgely on Thursday. Mrs. Clarence Sennett, Mrs. Elizabeth Stone and Mrs.

William Garey were hostesses to 21 members and 1 visitor, Mrs. Emily Bailey, of Circle 2 at the former's home on Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Earle White attended a luncheon meeting at the Shoreham Hotel, Washington, on Wednesday.

Clifford Todd, son of Mrs. Bessie Todd, near Denton, returned to his home on Tuesday afternoon after being a patient in the Memorial Hospital, Easton, since his accident on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Larrimore, Mrs.

Paul Singer, Mr. and Mrs. William Beers attended the Del-Mar-Va Firemen's and Ladies' Auxiliary convention in Parksley, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 12 and 13. Mrs. Paul Singer was elected president of the Auxiliary.

Mr. Walter Wright is a patient in the Memorial Hospital, Easton. Mrs. Donald MacDonald, Mrs. Clarence Melvin and Mrs.

Cora Stevens were hostesses to -15 members of the Concord Christian Comrade Class at the former's home on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Dugald MacDonald is on the sick list and is at present spending some time at the home of Mrs. Donald MacDonald. Her host of friends wish her a speedy recovery.

Mrs. Nora Craft attended the funeral of Mr. Howard Ross, in Baltimore, on Thursday. The Willing Workers Circle met at the home of Mrs. Clarence Roe on Monday evening with 14 members present.

Mrs. Sadie Beauchamp and Airs. Minnie Thawley were Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm MacDonald, of Peoria, Illinois, are spending a two weeks vacation with Mr.

and Mrs. James E. Harris and family. Mr. MacDonald is associated with the Caterpillar Tractor Company and is being transferred to York, where he will be Supervisor of a branch office.

O. M. Griffith, of Greensboro, purchased the home on the corner of Seventh and Gay Streets, in Denton, on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs.

Rudolph Dyes spent the week-end with the former's relatives, in Bloxsom, Va. Mr. and Mrs. William Beers visited with the latter's mother, Mrs. C.

George Lowe, called the meeting to order. A voice of approval was given Mrs. Robert Dulin for the very nice minutes she had written of the last meeting. The discussion leader, Mrs. Martin Voss, led in discussing Maryland Road Program as passed by the 1953 Maryland Assembly.

The work is to be financed by a one cent increase in state gasoline tax, also there will be an increase in motor vehicle registration fees, effective April, 1955. A Memorial Day reading by Mrs. Flook was enjoyed, by all present. Refreshments were! served in abundance by the host and hostess. Mrs.

Martin Voss planned a little quiz program for entertainment. Service Short Pvt. Norwood Allston, who has been at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky, arrived home on Tuesday to spend a 15-day leave with his mother, Mrs. Mahala M. Allston.

Pvt. Allston's next assignment will be at Fort Devons, Mass. Mrs. Paul West, of Harrisburg, with relatives. His ship, the USS has been visiting Mrs.

GOLDSBORO John G. Marvel, U. S. Air Force, has returned to duty after spending a short leave at home. He was recently transferred from Seward Air Base, Tennessee, to Bowling Field, Washington, D.
