The Conklin bread scored 97.5 perfect, and won first place among more than 200 entries from cities ranging in. size from New York to Decatur. Most of the entries were from baking companies in the larger cities.

The trophy is an 18 inch silver loving cup, which will be on display in the windows of the Gushard store. A certificate "of merit accompanies the cup. The Harry M. Freer trophy is awarded by the W. E.
