Sen. Tinmn's Record Praised Daily American Republic Tuesday- July ,1972 State Senator Nelson Tinnin received praise for his work from a pair of government specialists from the Missouri Chamber of Commerce as they addressed the local Chamber at a noon luncheon yesterday. Mahlon R. Aldridge III, governmental affairs specialist, and Robert G. Fair, legislative specialist, enlightened the local group on the workings of the state government regarding business affairs, and stressed the importance of the upcoming elections as an avenue for the passage of sound economic policies.

A Missouri Voter Guide pamphlet, published by the State Chamber, listing the records of the candidates was given to each Chamber member in attendance. The candidates are rated with a number by the State Chamber regarding their positions on business matters. If we re going to get sound voting policies, got to get sound people elected. This means taking the time to evaluate those running for has an excellent Aldridge said. C.

Even though this was true, Missouri ranked in the upper in ability to support Education. The last four years has seen issouri provide more funds for Schools than ever before. This was due in large part to the leadership provided by Senator Nelson B. Tinnin.

In addition to supporting bills that have resulted in substantial increases in salaries he has introduced and helped pass other bills, such as the latest one pertaining to the retirement system. This bill made the Retirement System of Missouri one of the best in the nation. Senator Tinnin has served as Chairman or Vice- Chairman of the Senate Education Committee for the last twelve years. As Chairman of the Senate Education Committee, Senator Tinnin is in a position to provide excellent leadership for the cause of education. He is a former teacher with three years experience.

As a result, he is well aware of the problems faced by teachers. We, the members of the Senath-Hornersville Association, are taking this opportunity to urge you as fellow- educators to examine the record of Senator Nelson B. Tinnin and return him to the General Assembly. Because no Republican filed for election, the winner of the August 8, 1972 primary will continue to represent us for the next four years. Based on his past record, we believe that as educators, we could not find a man who is better qualified than Senator Nelson B.

Tinnin. PT.ir.ASir, TAKE YOUR FRIENDS TO THE POLLS AND VOTE FOR SENATOR NELSON B. TINNIN ON AUGUST 8, 1972. Sincerely, Jim Blackburn, President Seaath-Hornersville Association The Honorable Nelson B. Tinnin Senate Post Office Jefferson City, Mo.
