L. Schneider entertained a group of relatives at her home on Huntington avenue recently in compliment to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Manderscheid, whose marriage took place September I in San Diego. Mrs.

Manderscheid will be remembered as Miss Winifred Schneider, of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Schneider.

During a social evening the honorees were presented with miscellaneous gifts. A white color scheme was carried out in the refreshments of ice cream and cake, served on Individual trays bearing nut cups in the shape of wedding bells. Those present besides Mr. and Mrs. Manderscheid were Mr.

Wll- Nominations of officers for the sophomore class at Santa Ana junior college were made yesterday, preparatory tomorrows election, which finds four candidates for the office of class president, and contests on for the offices of vice president and treasurer.

Only one candidate was nominated for secretary. Bill Dolan of Anaheim, AI Markel, John Rabe and Kenneth Stowell, all of Santa Ana, are the presidential nominees. For vice president, Charles Kiser of Tustin, Dick Moore of Huntington Beach, and John Haskell of Tustin, are competing. Eunice Spicer of Santa Ana, will have no opposition for election as secretary. Four candidates are after the job as treasurer, including Wayne Wilhite of Wichita, Jean McCauley of Santa Ana, Helen Wilkie of Covina, and Armand Hanson of Santa Ana.
