It will be homecoming for Ouachita, and the Lions, who have attracted approximately 12,000 fans to two home games so far expect to shove their attendance mark for the season near 20,000 when the Alexandria club comes to town. Even though the Bruins suffered their first loss Friday night to the potent Fair Park Indians of Shreve port, 32 to 6, Coach Jim Hodgins and his aides, Herbert H.

Holliman and Harold Dickens, have a chore on hand preparing their charges for the Bolton invasion. Bolton has always been one of Ouachita's stiff est competitors in football and basketball rivalry, and the Bruins will be gunning for the Lions this trip. Last year they battled to a 7 7 tie. It may be fortunate for the Lions, but the contest will not be counted as a conference struggle. Although both Ouachita and Bolton compete in double the Bears operate in the southeast district while the Lions must make their progress against north district opposition whnh is narrowed down to Haynesville, Fair Park, and Byrd, the latter two from Shreveport.

Ouachita and Bolton have tied their last three games. Aside from last season's deadlock, the rival elevens played identical 13 13 draw games in 1945 and 1944, and previous to 1944 the Bruins had a string of five straight wins over Ouachita. Aside from the three straight ties, Lion and Bar rivalry since 1929 when Ouachita began developing independent teams, separate from the old combined club that included the city system, the victory status stands at ten for Bolton and four for Bolton, this year, has been beating Winnsboro, 13 12, and Baton Rouge AR ro a r. to Monroe next Saturday night to resume rivalry with the Tribesmen at 8 o'clock at Brown Field Right now the clash with the Rangers stacks up as about the most important game of the season so far as Coach James L. Faith in the Indians' football prowess bounded Friday night when the Indians pounded out a 29 0 triumph over Henderson, which came here twice victorious and previously un scored on thia season, and the Redskins performed with even more perfection than they had a week before when they won their season opener from Northwest Mississippi, 19 to 13. ATLANTA, Sept. 27. (7P) Bob Neyland, the "Old Gray Fox" from Tennessee, got a football lesson today from a former pupil as Georgia Tech swept to a surprisingly easy 27 0 Victory over the Vols. A capacity crowd of 40,000 looked on as the well drilled team of Bobby Dodd, a Vol star of the late twenties, meted out the worst defeat a Ney land coached team has ever suffered. The Vols shot their wad early in the opening period when they failed to capitalize on their only real threat.

Tech, recouping late in the first period, held the upperhand after that and led at the half, 7 0, The Vols, outclassed In every department, fought valiantly but never got their running attack clicking and failed through the air.
