Breakfast Party Charming Affair Attended By Fifty Guests Thursday was the wedding day of Miss Jane McKenzie and Mr. John Sherrouse, Jr. It was one of those rarely beautiful April days and started with a charming compliment extended by Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Sherrouse and Mr.

Following the serving of the delicious four course breakfast the guests were invited to the Maple room where cafe brulot was served.

Miss McKenzie and Mr. Sherrouse took this opportunity to present their wedding attendants with handsome gifts. The feminine attendants received gold compacts engraved with their monogram, and the gentlemen received leather, gold embossed, stud boxes. The guests, in addition to the hosts and hostesses and their two guests of honor, were: Mr. and Mrs.

Mulhem home were named guests of honor at an al fresco supper party in the gardens of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Credille Calhoun, Edgewater Gardens. Mrs. Fox is the former Miss Mary Mulhern.

Steaks were cooked over the open barbecue pit and served with salads, relishes, hot rolls and a delicious buffet style variety of confections. The frosted drinks were served from a gayly colored wheelbarrow filled with cracked ice. Guests included intimate friends of the guests of honor as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Breard, Mr.

Mrs. Maxine Rouse entertained a group of small children at a birthday I party given in honor of her little daughter, Celia Gue, whose first birth- i day it was. The children gathered on the lawn near Mrs. Rouse's apartment and kodak pictures of the group were taken by the hostess, Mrs. Rouse.

Mrs. William Davidson, Mrs. Alice Baxter and Miss Marjorie Davidson have returned from Corpus Christi, Texas, where they have enjoyed a delightful stay since late in December While there, they were guests of Mrs. Baxter's son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mis. Bruce B.

Baxter. Dr. Joseph R. Whitaker left St Joseph recently for Monroe, where he will be at the E. A.

Conway Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Whitaker and their little daughter, Betty, are joining Di Whitaker in Monroe in a short while and they will reside there for a year before returning to St. Joseph. Mrs.

Myles Smith was hostess at the concluding March meeting of Let. Petites. Bouquets of spring flowers decorated the club room for the meeting. Games were the highlight of the evening and when concluded, prizes wore won by Mrs. Joseph R.

Johnston, the Monroe Garden Club, states that in Collinston. Mrs. Hightower is a graduate of Collinston High School and is employed in the office of the Collinston Stave Company. Mr. Hightower is a graduate of Bastrop High School.

When they return from a short wedding trip the young couple will be at home at the Collinston Hotel. on Russian Musical History in Kaleid oscope and the life of Tchaikovsky presented by Mrs. R. L. Prichard.
