The old line members of the United Brethren church have rented a hall at the corner oTMonroe and King streets, and will begin a series of meetings there on Wednesday evening. Sunday morning a union Sunday school will be held. The old line United Brethren are those who did not agree with the main body of the church at the time the confession of faith was changed, and it was agreed to allow members to belong to secret societies. I- 1 1. The February law term of the county court began yesterday, and a number of the misdemeanor cases certified from the court above were called for a hearing.

Several of the defendants demanded a trial and a venire for a jury was issued. Judge Hammer entered an order on the civil docket to plead by Saturday of this week, and the call of the docket will be commenced on Monday next. The people's cases heard yesterday were as follows Lon Sawyer, disorderly conduct. Stricken with leave. Williqm Jones and Alfred Ward disorderly conduct.
