She also has 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great Walser Byford, moved to Ward, Ark. Her education was at a country school near West Salem. She remembers that one teacher would send her to sit on the doorstep when she cried because she couldn't get her lesson. She did housework for $1 to $1.50 a week until she married Dana Marks Dec.

15, 1909 at Olney. They lived on a farm in Edwards County and then lived in Richland County before moving to West Salem in 1925. In March 1947, they moved to Assumption. Dana Marks died Oct. 20, 1975, two months before their 66th anniversary.

Myrtle has a daughter, Zella She lives alone in an apartment. She enjoys attending the Christian Church and attending Sunday School. Her birthday will be observed at an open house in the church from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Born in a log cabin in Edwards County near West Salem, she had one sister and two brothers.

She grew up in Edwards County except for about four years when her parents, James and Rozella Sunday. years have gone past quickly, she tells friends. They took a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C., and live in Ross, William C. Fenton of Clinton, Mary Belle Whitehead of Decatur and B.D. Kennedy of Oak-. hurst, N.J. She has eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

One grandchild is deceased. William Brunner 80 MRKVICKA-OVERTURF Ann Elizabeth Mrkvicka and Todd Monroe Overturf were married Jan. 2, 1988, in Wesley United Methodist Church, Aurora. The bride's parents are Bethany Mrkvicka of Aurora and the late Stephen Mrkvicka. The bridegroom's parents are C.G.

He married Mary Irene Walker on Sent. 1. 1928. in sit; Ruby Carter 26, 1917, in Sul livan. He is deceased.

Mrs. Carter is the mother of Thomas H. Carter and Aileen Hurley, both of Decatur; Paul Carter of Joliet, Russell Carter of Osh-kosh, and Dorothy Gillett of Coos Bay, Ore. One son is deceased. She has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Brunner Donald Brunner, Gary Lee Brunner and Terry Brunner, all of Oakley. One son is deceased. He has 12 grandchildren. Edna Doner, 97 Edna Mayfield Doner of Bethany, formerly of Decatur, observed her 97th birthday Thursday. She was born Feb.

11, 1891, near Bethany. She married J.A. Doner in December 1922 in Bloom-ington. He is deceased. BALES-HOLPUCH Donna Lynne Bales and John Gerald Holpuch were married Jan.

16, 1988, in Sharon United Methodist Church. Their parents are Alan and Patricia Bales of 2206 Dunes St and Robert and Phyllis Holpuch of Downers Grove. The bride is a graduate of War-rensburg-Latham High School and Illinois State University. The bridegroom is a graduate of Downers Grove South High School and Illinois State University.
