The Benton Planning Com mission held the meeting to bear comments regarding the proposed change. Carmen B. Taylor, who pe 'J 4- titioned the city council for the zoning change of his five lots, spoke in favor of the rezoning.

Taylor said the rezoning would be necessary if the area is to be utilized to maximum effectiveness. Taylor's five lots are Lots 1-5 of Taylor and Eovaldi's First Addition to the city. The planning commission recently considered requests to rczonc areas containing the Berion Medical Center and the R-l, single family residence, to a B-l, small business. The medical center is expected to seek ownership cf the five lots for future expansion.
