EVENING TELEGRAPH Monday December 9 1991 fro'1 spends own cash on fence A GIRL with a responsible job as she waits to town centre hand her messages lights switch-on to Santa at the Epworth By PAUL BLOOMER Isle Reporter Shopkeeper gets licence BELTON duck-pond Stella Brownfield determined to protect the web-foot wonders she has taken to her heart has dug deep into her pocket to step up their security Jeffrey Lane resident Stella always heartbroken when the pet ducks from time to time fall victim to passing traffic was furious when gunmen recently blasted a number of them Now she has splashed out £70 on providing extra safety fencing at the village pond to keep the ducks in and unwelcome intruders out!
