Dorriss died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the Skilled Care Nursing Unit in Benton. He was born Dec. 23. 1891.

Carl Tripp. 33, of Carterville, was arrested late Friday on two state warrants cadi charging illegal delivery of cannabis. Robert Carl Shelton, 23, of 203 Willow O'Fallon, was arrested in Carterville on a federal warrant charging illegal delivery of USD. Both men are held in Williamson County Jail today pending a preliminary hearing.

The arrests brought the total number of drug arrests in Carterville for the week to seven. Five other persons were arrested there lliursday based on information supplied by MEG unit agents. MEG unit investigations have produced 13 arrests in i 1-liamson and Jackson counties in the past two weeks. DALE ARTHUR WOODS Dale Arthur Woods, 83, of 713 N. 23rd Murphysboro, died Saturday afternoon at the Marion Veterans Hospital after a long illness.

He was born March 11, 1891, in Brown County, to Dan and Winnie Newman Woods. He married The! ma Logan; she preceded him in death-Mr. Woods was a retired railroad employe. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was in the army during WTorld War I.

He is survived by sons, Jesse of Murphysboro, and Robert of Evansville, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tower Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro. The Rev. William Boatman will officiate.

Services are under auspices of the Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel of Murphysboro. There will be no visitation. THEODORE R. TRAMMELL Theodore R. Trammell, 63, died unexpectedly at his home in Sparta Saturday.

Mr. Trammell was formerly of Grand Tower-He was born to Charles and Julia Trammell April 30, 1911. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include his wife. Pauline; daughters Jeannctte Wilhelm of East Carondelet, Sherry Pashia of Dupo, and Vickie Wickert of East Carondelet; sons Duke of Baldwin, Rickie at home; sisters, Irene Henry of Riviria Beach.

Pauline Jenkins, of Carpenters-ville. Gracial Pillow of St. Louis, Myrtle Kronk of Dupo, and Doris Ellet of Grand Tower; brothers Roy of Grand Tower and Ralph of Omaha, and 10 grandchildren. One son preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.

Tuesday at the Metho- dist Church in Grand Tower, The Rev. Walter Derossett of- ficiating. Burial will be in the Walker Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Da-shner Funeral Home in Du- po until 9 tonight and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Grand Tower.

FAY GLASS Fay Glass, 71, of Ozark Acres, formerly of Car- bondale, died Sunday at a hos- pital near her home. She had been ill for several months, She was born in Auburn, Dec. 5, 1903, to Arthur L. and Florence Lulu Shadley Brod. She was married to Ho- mer Glass.

Mrs. Glass is survived by her husband Homer of Ozark Acres; two daughters, Kay Crowder of Godfrey, and Nor- ma Root of Weeping Water, three brothers, Ernest Brod of Carbondale, Vera Brod of Titusville, and Lawrence Brod of Palm Harbor, Fla. Her first husband, William Ivan Green, died on Jan. 26, 1963. Funeral arrangements are in complete at Huffman Funeral Home in Carbondale.

Burial will be in Murdale Garden of Memories Cemetery, west of Carbondale. He then married Mary Avery. She died in 1970. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Allen Milton of Benton and Mrs. Sybil Truitt of Monroe, a son.

Dr. Troy C. Dorriss of Stillwater, a half sister, Mrs. Morris Johnson of Detroit, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. ETHEL M.

HINES Ethel M. Hines, 85, of Anna died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday in Union County Hospital at Anna. She was born April 14, 1839, in Cobden to William and Margaret Dillow Hankla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Hines, in December, 1953.

Mrs. Hines is survived by a son, Oley of Anna; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; a brother W. L. Hankla of Cobden, and a sister, Nellie Al-dridge, also of Cobden- Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev.

Waller M. Bartels officiating. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m the funeral home. Tuesday at JOSEPH H.

BAKER Funeral services for Joseph H. Baker, 51, of Swanwick, were to be at 2 p.m. today at the Howard and Wilson Funeral Home in Coulterville. The Rev. J.V.

Burneking was to officiate. Mr. Baker was killed in a car-truck collision on Illinois 13 near Swanwick Friday night. He was born April 10, 1923, in East St. Louis, to Joseph and Grace Major Baker.

He married Mabel Shelley July 26, 1W2, in East St. Louis. He was a retired construction worker and was the Demo- cratic precinct committeeman for Swanwick. Mr. Baker was a marine in World War II.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Sharon at home, Nancy Ann Marloy of Pinckneyville, and Debra Lee Bin-kins of Pinckneyville; sons, Joseph, Robert, and David, all at home; his mother, Grace Davis of Chester; a brother, Carl Baker, of Denver; a sister Mary Lou Lowe of Belleville; and three grandchildren. Burial was to be in Swanwick Cemetery. ALENE B- FOX Alene B. Fox, 61, of 1310 N. Courtney Marion, died at 11:05 p.m.

Sunday in Doc- tors Hospital in Carbondale. Mrs. Fox was a piano teach- er and served as music director at the Warder Street Baptist Church in Marion from 1963 to 1973. She was also a mem- ber of the church. She was bom Jan.

31, 1913, in New Burnside to Robert T. and Eulah B. Choate Gay. She first married Thomas W. Trammell in April 1932.

He preceded her in death- She then married J. Pierce Fox July 25, 1959. Survivors are her husband; her parents of New Burnside; four sons, Phillip W. Trammell of St. Louis, Jarl V.

Trammell of Springfield, Hiomas F. Trammell of Marion, and Rob- ert H. "Rusty" Trammell of Rockford; two daufhters, Sand- ra Stevens of San Jose, and Suzanne Edmonds of Mar- ion; two brothers, Robert K. Gay of Marion and Lindsey N. nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Warder Street Baptist Church in Marion. The Rev. Charles Hogan will officiate- Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Marion. Friends may call after 5 p.m.

He was born on Oct. 1, 1890, in Fayette County to John and Lucinda Tedrick Morris. He was married to Anna Davis in Fayette County on Oct. 26. 1912.

He married Maude Ness in Bond County on Sept. 2, 19,54. Mr. Morris was a member of the Christian Science Church in Vandalia He was a monument salesman. Survivors include his wife Maude of Carbondale; a son, Wooclrow Morris of Hazel wood, a daughter, Leota M.

Parker, also of Carbondale; a stepson, Marion Taylor of Na-perville; a brother, Carlos Morris of Bunkerhill, and a half brother, Wallace Cook of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna, and one stepson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rip-perdan Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove. Burial will be in McKendree Chapel Cemetery in Bond County.
