10th died in a local hospital Wednesday, Dec. 7. The cause of death was not given. She was born Oct. 14, 1919, at Middleridge to John and Catherine Newburg She married Leo P.

Kruschek on June 23, 1941. She was employed by Professional Food Service at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for more than 12 years Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Mickschl of La Crosse and Mrs. A1 (Judy) Washko of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, James L. of La Crosse and Timothy E.

of Chicago, six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ervin (Geneva) Friet of La Crosse; four brothers, Sylvester Newburg of La Crescent, and Victor Newburg of Onalaska She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the south side of Blaschke Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph the Workmen Cathedral, with the Rev.

OLSON GALESVILLE, Wis. Andrew M. Olson, 82, former Galesville resident, died Thursday, Dec. 8, in St. Joseph Hospital.

Arcadia. He was born Aug. 3, 1895, at Clarke City, 111, to Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Olson.

He was a retired carpenter. He married Gertrude Weicker on July 7, 1928. She preceded him in death in 1969. He was a charter member of the Winona, Eagles Club. Survivors are two sons, Lauren of Winona and Andrew Jr.

of Trempealeau; five daughters. Mrs. Paul (Delores) Lund of Ellsworth, Mrs Casey (Genevieve) Miller of Sturgis, S.D., Mrs. Frances Knutson of Rochester. Minn Mrs Herbert (Daisy) Borger of Zenith, Wash and Mrs Roger (Patricia) Rupprecht of Canby, a sister.

Mrs. Art (Myrtle) Farstad of Bayport, a brother, Ernest of Dupree. S.D.; 28 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Smith Mortuary in Galesville with the Rev.

Frank (Ethel) Volkey of Lake Delton, Lillian Copus of La Crosse, Mrs. Aubrey (Violet) Smith of Columbia, and Mrs. Wayne (Mary) Harmes of Evansville, three sons, Bernard of Mishicot, Phillip of Baraboo and Lloyd of La Crosse; 69 grandchildren; several grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Fuller of La Crosse She was preceded in death by her husband, James, four sons, seven sisters and two brothers Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Schumacher Funeral Home and at 9 a.m.

in the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman, with the Rev. J. Floyd Dwyer officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.

Dec. 7. in a local nursing home, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Schumacher Funeral Home, La Crosse, with the Rev. Thomas Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until time of services Friday. He was born in the town of Clayton in Crawford County on Jan. 22. 1897, to Levi and Kathryn (Dull) Coleman.

He was a member of the International Association of Machinists Lodge 21 and was employed by Trane Co. until his retirement in 1962 Survivors are his wife, the former Letha Ertel; a daughter. Mrs. Casper (Helen) Miceli of Toms River, N.J.; two sons, Douglas of Onalaska and Lawrence of La Crosse; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

MRS. LEAH GAHLER SPARTA, Wis. Services for Mrs. Leah Gahler, 91, of R. 3, Sparta, who died Tuesday, Dec 6.

in her home, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lanham-Kann Funeral Home, Sparta, with the Rev. Delbert Permann officiating. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery, Sparta. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m.

Friday and Saturday until time of services. She was born July 14, 1886, in the Sand Creek area of Monroe County to Mr and Mrs. Adelbert Thurston. She grew up in the Leon area and married George Eddward Gahler on Dec. 22, 1915, in Winona, Minn They farmed in the Leon area all of their lives.

He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1935. She continued to live on the home farm. She was a member of Random Homemakers and the Congregational United Church of Christ, Sparta Survivors are two sons, Harold and Lloyd, both of 3, Sparta; and a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Hazel) Yeske of Menominee, Mich.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son. MRS. BERTHA MATHIAS SPRING GROVE, Minn. Mrs. Christian (Bertha) Mathias, 101, of Spring Grove, died Thursday.

Dec 8, in Tweeten Memorial Hospital. Spring Grove. She was born March 26. 1876, in Houston County to Gunner and Mary Oseth. She married Christian Mathias, who preceded her in death in 1946.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors are a son, Maurice of Austin, three daughters. Mrs. Tilman (Sabel) Jorde of Rushford, Mrs. Manda Norgard of Spring Grove and Mrs.

Rosella Onsgard of Spring Grove; 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by- two brothers and three sisters. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Spring Grove, with the Rev.

Ken Knutson officiating Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Roble Funeral Home. Spring Grove, Friday afternoon and evening, Saturday morning and from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. MRS.

CECIL POTTRATZ EITZEN, Minn. Mrs. Leo (Cecil) Pottratz, 73, of Eitzen, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, in St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse.

She was born Feb. 28, 1904, in Allamakee County, Iowa, the daughter of Benjamin and Caroline (Bowman) Hartley She married Leo Pottratz on May 21, 1925, in rural New Albin, Iowa. They lived all of their married life in Eitzen. She was a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ in Eitzen.

She was a former rural school teacher in Allamakee County, Iowa. Survivors are a son, Dell of Diamonds for Christmas you love her! She was preceded in death by her husband.

Services willl be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Luke's United Church of Chirst in Eitzen with the Rev. Lloyd Fried officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening at the Potter- Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, and at the church from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday. GLENN H. KLINGER LYNXVILLE, Wis. Glenn H.

Klinger, 69. a lockman for 32 years, died at his rural Lynxville home near Lock and Dam No. 9 on Tuesday, Dec. 6. He was born March 22,1908, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Mr.

and Mrs. Otis Klinger, and married Ilia Post, who died in about 1956. He retired in 1966. Surivivors include four half- brothers, Percy and Fred Klinger of Prairie du Chien, Otis Klinger of Ferryville and Bill Beiman of Frederika, Iowa; two half-sisters, Mrs. Beulah Harris of Waterloo and Mrs.

Ray (Blanche) Hackett of Savanna, and one step-sister, Mrs James (Bemita) Johnston of Ferryville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lake-Thornburg Funeral Home, Prairie du Chien, Pastor John Speerstra officating. Burial will be in the Prairie du Chien Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.

Thursday. Memorials may be given to the Prairie du Chien rescue squad. CHRISTOPHER J. CLARK PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. Christopher J.

Clark, 82, formerly of Prairie du Chien, died Wednesday. Dec. 7, at St. Francis Nursing Home, La Crosse, where he was residing. He was born May 1.

1895. at Seneca to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Clark. He married Genevieve DuCharme on Sept.

22. 1925, at Prairie du Chien For many years, he was employed by Campion High School, Prairie du Chien. Survivors are his wife, nieces and nephews Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Catholic Church, Prairie du Chien, with the Rev.

Sixth died Thursday, Dec. 8, in a local hospital. He was born July 22, 1893, in Trempealeau County to Delbert and Lunnetta Burns He was an employee of the Nick Hengel Plumbing Co. for 35 years and was a member of Plumbers Steam Fitters Local 31. Survivors are his wife, Blanche; a daughter.

Mrs. Leonard (Marcella) Zielke of La Crosse; two sons, Winfred H. and Clinton both of La Crosse; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter and two sisters. Services will be at 1 p.m.

Saturday in the Schumacher Funeral Home, La Crosse, with the Rev. Allan Townsend officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, rural Centerville.
