ROOME GOING OVER THE LINE FOR THE ONLY TOUCHDOWN IN THE YALE-HARVARD GAME SATURDAY. FOOTBALL CASUALTIES DECREASED THIS YEAR. Figures Gathered Show That the New 'Debrutalized" AN ACID BLOOD POISON Rheumatism is an acid blood poison, and the causes that produce it ar often silently accumulating" in the system for years. Poor digestion, stomach troubles, weak kidneys, torpid liver, and a general inactive condition of the system leaves the refuse and -waste matter, which should be carried off, to sour and form uric acid, which is absorbed into the blcod. "When the blood is in this acid-charged condition, it deposits the poisons and irritating particles with which it is loaded in the muscles, nerves, joints and bones.

Then Rheumatism gets possession of the system, and life is made miserable by its pains, aches and discomforts. The changing of the weather, exposure to cold and dampness, always increase the trouble, and so severe does the pain become that quick relief must be had. A good liniment or plaster is "often helpful, but it should be remembered that relief from such treatment is only temporary, because the trouble is in the blood and cannot be re By Winning From Harvard Saturday New Haven Men Prove Best of Season. Philadelphia, on next Saturday, is the remaining contest which will excite the most general interest, and onlv the University of Pennsylvania-Cornell game, on ThanKsgiving day, compares with il in importance as an athletic event. Though the Army's showing against Syracuse and Navy against ir-ginia Polytechnic on Saturday were both rather disappointing, there is no oxlt that both teams are strong and that the Navy has a better chance to win than lor some years.

The line-up of tha Navy team against Virginia on Saturday indicated what would be the arrangement for the Army game. It was: Lett end, Bernard; left tackle, Wright; right tackle, Piersoj; right end. Uague; quarterback. Norton; lett half back, Douglass; right naif back, Captain Spencer; full back, Ingram. The average weight of this team is 173 3-11 pounus, cf which li4 l-t is in the line and 18SVi in the back field.

The surprise is that Bernard, who has been out of the game most oi: the season on account ot injuries, displaces Richardson at left. Richardson has been frequently called back of the line when yards were needed desperately and he is the surest ground gainer on the team. Piersol has been given the place at right tackle over both Siagruder and Simpson. Lyceum Playing Great Game. True to what was expected, the Lyceum-Niagara same proved to be ono of the bcs.

Kersberg, Osborne and Burr came through like catapults occasionally, putting it up to the man with the ball to go it alone and making it easy for a team-mate to reach him. Yale had better protection for the runner in carrying back kicks than Harvard. If.

there was one thing more than another in which Yale showed striking improvement over previous games it was in following the ball. Harvard excelled in this point in the Indian game, while Yale was positively infantile at it in the West Point game, yet Yale was far and away better at it on Saturday. There was a Yale man or two on the spot to grab every loose ball, and he generallv nailed it. Quick as a wink the man in blue threw himself on the leather, held it securely, and folded it firmly to his breast. Such vigilance and sure gripping did not seem possible after the complete absence of it two weeks before.

The wide Yale defense offered Inviting spaces for the Harvard backs, and when the latter did cet through they got through good. But the defense always converged and prevented gains from becoming too numerous. It converged and developed. It was the beat defense ot thev nad done against the regulars. Likewise Yale's offense was the best all-around offense of the year with Its extensixe repertoire, puzzling variety and occasional steady marches of length. One cracking good forward pass was made by Harvard, when Starr received the ball and hurried toward Yale's goal in the first half. The difference between Harvard's and Yale's forward pass was that the former was thrown at an oblique over the end of the line, while for the latter the ball was carried out the required five yards and thrown straight forward. The latter method has yielded the better gains. According to figures.

Yale gained about twice as much ground by rushing as Harvard, ran back punts about twice as far and made first down seven times to Harvard's four. 4 Easy for Suburbans.
