For the past 35 years, however, 4-H and FFA youths 8:15 p. m. chorus prac- have engaged in a continuing effort towards this improvement, adding knowledge gained in the classroom and in club meetings, to expert advise given them in visits by trained and advisers, to make our country one of the leaders in the production of fine birds and animals.

The extent to which this progress has come will be shown at Saturday's 34th Annual Stock Show. The encouragement we, as adults, give these youths is as important as an incentive, and will show our appreciation of their efforts. The best possible way to show this approval is by attending the auction sale that evening and entering into the bidding for the purchase of the prize exhibits that will be offered for sale. Sunday School and Bible Classes. 9:15 a. m. Adult instruction one of the stabilizers of our economy and the harbingers of tice our progress. 7:30 No firm can exist for 50 years unless it is founded and operated on sound business principals.

The very fact that Stehling Bros, for 50 years have successfully operated their store in Fredericksburg, prima facie evidence that it was founded and operated on these principals. There is another facet to their success story that they frequently refer to and they make no bones about giving it credit for much of their success. Two weeks before their firm opened its doors, on Sept. 1, 1915, the new store carried an announcement in the Fredericksburg Standard, and its sister publication, the Fredericksburg Wochenblatt, that the new store would open. Through the half century Stehling Bros, have been in business there have been few weeks in which they did not carry one or several advertisements in the Fredericksburg Standard.

Thus, the Standard feels that it has been one of the important tools in the firm's success story, just as ii 1, to others who use these papers to carry their messages. We extend our congratulations to Stehling and point to them as an example for other firms to follow if they too want to write a similar success story in the years to come. 6:30 p. m.
