James G. Hershberger. James Gormley Hersberger, aged 20. connected with T. r.

He leaves his father, George H. Hershberger, and his grandmother. Mrs. Helen B. Neidle.

Mrs. Helen Block Neidle, aged 28, wife of Dr. Marks Neidle, former professor of physical chemistry in the University of Pittsburgh, died in her home, 60 North Harrison avenue, Bellevue, at 5 o'clock yesterday evening of influenza-pneumonia, after a few day's illness. Mrs. Neidle leaves her husband, an infant daughter, Alice, and her mother, three sisters and a brother, who live in Brooklyn, N.

Y. Miss Alice L. Thompson. Miss Alice Luella Thompson, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs.

A. M. Thompson of 554 Teece avenue, Bellevue, died October 23 in Leith, Scotland, while; in the service of the United States, She was a graduate of the Allegheny' General Hospital. Besides her parents she leaves three sisters and a brother, Daniel Shrum, Jr. Daniel Shrum, aged 34, died Wednesday in his home in Irwin, following an iilness of several weeks.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Irwin. He leaves his widow, three children, his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Sylvia L. Hannan.

THE DEATH ROLL Joseph DeRoy. Joseph DeRoy, aged 68, senior member of the jewelry firm of Joseph DeRoy Sons, died at 8:15 o'clock last night in the home of his daughter, Airs. Milton Stern, 151S Murray avenue. Mr. DeRoy was sick for about one week.

He was born in Amsterdam, Holland, and was brought to this country by his parents when two years old. They came direct to thia city, and since then the family has been identified with the jewelry business. Mr. DeRoy was vice president of the J. M.

Lieut. James A. Roberts, aged 22, son cf William A. Roberts of 5506 Harriet street, died Wednesday of pneumonia at Taliaferro Field, Fort Worth, Mr. Roberts was at his son's bedside at his death.

Lieut. Roberts was attending Cornell University when lie entered the aviation section late in 1917. He received his training at several schools of p.iili-tary aeronautics in the Southwest prior to being stationed at Fort Worth. Within the past month he had been in communication with the Brazilian and Argentine ministers at Washington in regard to acting as a Hying instructor in either of these countries. He was a graduate of the Shadvside Academy and a member of the Smithlield Street Methodist Epis- copal Church.

Besides his father he leaves a brother, William A. Koberts, stationed at the Officers' Training School at Camp Pike, and a sitter, Mrs. W. L. Walker of Bellevue.

was given the rank of colonel. Mechling was past commander of the Pennsylvania Spanish-American War Veterans' Association. He was president of the Butler school board. Col. Mechling was a member of St.

Peter's Episcopal Church. He leaves six daughters, one brother, a sister and a half-brother, all of Butler. Mrs. Rebecca T. Green.

Mrs. Rebecca Torrance Green, widow of the lata Nathaniel Green, died Thursday afternoon in her home, Gibsonia, Pa. Mrs. Green was born in Hartford, 'and came to Pittsburgh in early childhood. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church and was actively engaged in church, charitable and Red Cross work.

She leaves a son, P. T. Green of Mars; a. daughter. Miss Anna H.

Bray. Mrs. Levina N. Bray died of influenza and pneumonia in the Allegheny General Hospital yesterday. She was born in British Columbia and was educated in Vancouver.
