1 -'J EQUALIZATION BOARD Minutes, Pembina County, North Dakota. The Board of County Commissioners met at the Court House in the City Pembina at 1:30 o'clock P. M. July 1st 1907, as a Board of Equalization. Members present, J.

N. Horgan, P. C. Myrick, Adam Norton and Wm. The following oath was administered to the members of the Board STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA, County of Pembina 88 J.

N. Horgan, C. Myrick, Adam Norton and Wm Bigwood, being first duly sworn, each for himself, doth say that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of North Dakota that I will faithfully and impartially perform the duties, as a member of the County Board of Equalization of the County of Pembina, State of North Dakota, for the year 1907, so help me God. -James Egan appeared before the Board claiming that he should not assessed for credits other than that of Banks, valued at 8700.00 assessment made in Cavalier City. Claimant filed a sworn statement in support of his claim.

Mr. Patterson appeared before the Board in behalf of Junkin Patterson claiming to have been assessed too high for a ditching machine in Lincoln Board adjourned until July 2nd, 1907 at 9 o'clock A. M. Board met pursuant to adjournment. Members present, Horgan, Myrick Norton and Bigwood.

On motion it was resolved that for the purpose of Equalizing the assessed of Elevator Buildings in the County, the following changes be made: St, Anthony Dakota Elevator at Leyden, raised jo oq Dulnth Elevator at Backoo, raised jqq qq Imperial Elevator at Backoo, raised 10 00 Thorpe Elevator at Hamilton, raised 100 00 National Elevator at Hamilton, raised 200 00 McCabe Bros. Anthony Dakota Elevator at Crystal, raised 150 00 State Elevator at Crystal, raised 200 00 Northwestern Elevator at Neche raised 100 00 Neche Grain Live Stock at Neche raised 300 00 Monarch Elevator at St. Thomas, raised 200 00 Minneapolis Northern Elevator at St. Thomas, raised nn Grafton Roller Mills at Walhalla 100 00 County Auditor instructed to notify above Elevator Companys relative to the above raises. On motion it was resolved that Neil Thomson and A French be and are assessed for an Elevator Building in Cavalier Township, valued at 8350. Board adjourned until 1:30 o'clock P.

On motion dulpseconded and carried it was resolved that the County Auditor be and is hereby authorised to notify the City of Crystal, through its City Auditor, to show, on or before July 8th 1907, why said City should not be assessed few alighting gas plant valbeg at 9500. Board adjourned until July 5th, 1907. Board met pursuant to adjournment. Members present, J. N.

Horgan, F. Myrick and Wm. Bigwood. On motion it was resolved that the following classes as appears on the assessment books for the year 1907 for Pembina County be and are here by left as returned by the assessors. Class No.

1, Horses one year old. Class No. 1, Horses two years old. Class No. 2, cattle one year old.

On motion it resolved for the purpose of equalizing the assessed valuation of horses, three years and over, in Pembina County, the following percentage of increases and decreases be and are hereby made: Hamilton Village, increased Neche Village, increased Walhalla Village, decreased St. Thomas City, decreased On motion it was resolved that for the purpose of equalizing the assessed valuation of stallions, kept for service, in Pembina County, the following percentages of increases and decreases be and are hereby made: Carlisle Township, increased Cavalier Township, Crystal Township, increased Park Township, increased St. Joseph Township, increased Drayton City, increased Board adjourned until July 6th, at 9 o'clock A. Myrick. On motion it was resolved that the following numbered classes as shown on assessment books, for the year 1907, be left as returned by the assessors. Class No. 2, Cattle, two years old. Class No.

JJ, Cattle, Cows three years old and over. Class No. 2, Cattle, work oxen. Class No. 3.

Mules and asses, two years old. Class No, 3, Mules and asses, threejyears Class No. 4, Sheep. Class No. 5, Hogs.

Class No. 6A, Sleighs and sleds. Class No. 6B, Bicycles. On motion it was resolved that Class 60, wagons, carriages and other wheeled vehicles be and are hereby increased five per cent.

On motion it was resolved that Class 2, cattle three years old and over be and are hereby increased fifteen per cent. Board adjourned until 1:30 o'clock P. M. Board met pursuant to adjournment. Members present, Horgan, Bigwood and Myrick.

For the purpose of equalizing the assessed valuation of Bank Stock in Pembina County, on motion it was resolved that the bank stock of the several banks within the County, be and are hereby assessed as follows: First State Bank Backoo at 85000 00 Bathgate State Bank at 2825 00 First Bank of Cavalier At 2450 00 First National Bank of- Crystal at 8750 00 First Bank of Walhalla at 2750 00 Citizens Bank of Walhalla at 2500 00 State Bank of Hensel at 3500 00 Merchants Farmers of Cavalier at 4625 00 The Bank of Neche at Farmers State Bank of St. Thomas at 10328 00 First National Bank of Drayton at 13720 00 First National Bank of St. Thomas at 0973 00 Citizens Bank of Drayton .7 Merchants Bank of Pembina at 3500 00 Board adjourned until July 8th, 1907. Lutz, Walhalla Village For the purpose of equalizing the valuation of lands, exclusive of structures and improvements, in Pembina County, on motion it was resolved that the following changes be and are hereby made: Akra Township, increased Advance Township, increased Bathgate Township, increased Beaulieu Township, incrsased Carlisle Township, increased Cavalier Township, increased Crystal Township, increased, Drayton Township, increased Elora Township, Gardar Township, increased Hamilton Township, increased Joliette Township, increased LaMoure Township, increased Lincoln Township, it creased Lodema Township, increased Midland Township, increased Neche Township, increased Park Township, increased Pembina Township, increased St. Joseph Township, increased St.

For the purpose of equalizing the assessed valuation of structures and other improvements on lands in Pembina County, on motion it was resolved that the following changes be and are hereby made.
