He was the dearly beloved husband of Beverly Arsianian of Union City for 33 years. loving father of stepson Michael Currie of San Leandro. and daughter in law Lucy Duenas of Manteca.

Dear brother of Richard Arslan of Fresno, Lucille Thomas of Fresno, Ronald Arsian of Bakersfield. Leroy Arslanian of Fresno, the late Isabelle Fike. and the late Jerry Arslanian. Devoted grandfather of Tamera Boatright of Fresno, Deidra Bennett of Fresno, Brandi Arteaga of Berkeley, Robert Bush of Sacramento, Timothy High of Fresno, Nathaniel Arslanian of Manteca. and great Robert Boatright of Fresno, Austin Boatright of Fresno and sister in law Judy Cuesta of Campbell.

Robert was a retired plumbing contractor. he enjoyed going fishing, traveling to Lake Tahoe. he was in U.S. Marine Corp. he will be missed by his many, many family, friends, and neighbors.

Robert was a native of Salem. Oregon. Friends. are invited to attend a Funeral service Tuesday December 15, 1998 at 12:00 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in Hayward. Burial will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hay: ward.

IL and son Dwane Carlstrom of San Francisco. Services were private. CARROLL Valcour 'Val' Carroll Sr. was a longtime resident of Berkeley, CA, he departed this life on December 8, 1998. he was a proud WWII veteran, a Merchant Seaman, a retired employee of General Motors and General Contractor in the Bay Area.

He is survived by: Corinne, his wife: Val his son; Phyllis, Eleanor, Patrice, Corinne M. and Demaries. his daughters, Vincent Swain Jerry Williams, his sons-in-law and Cora Johnson. his. surviving sister.

Violet Sumiko Nobori. who entered into rest in 1996. Mr. Nobori, a native of Oakland began his lifelong career as a businessman when he bought his first store Palm Grocery at the age of 19. During WWII he was forced to abandon it all and was sent to Jerome Internment Camp in Arkansas.

They later took an opportunity to leave the camp for Cleveland. OH. After the war they returned to Oakland where he continued his career by eventually establishing George's Food Store. George William's Market. Chimes Market and Fremont Plaza Norge Cleaners.

He lived a very full 87 years. He leaves his sons George (Carol) of Piedmont. Larry (Silvia) of Portland. OR, and Donald (Marie) of Castro Valley. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Michael.

Mariko. Naomi, Kenji. Takeo and Kyle. Also survived by his brothers Teruo of Berkeley, Bennie of Los Angeles, and brother-in-law Henry Hamataka of Berkeley. He was a good man.

To far information, dial 208-6477. 2 men arrested on suspicion of home-invasion robbery FROM STAFF REPORTS HAYWARD Two men were arrested on suspicion of homeinvasion robbery Wednesday after a struggle that ended when one suspect accidentally shot the other in the leg.

police said. Diego Garcia Gonzales. 18. of Oakland shot Golden Watson, 19, of Hayward while they were trying to rob a home in the 300 block of Hurley Drive. police said.

Watson was treated and released from a local hospital. Police believe a third man drove a getaway car. He is not in custody. Watson apparently knew the four occupants of the house two men, 18 and 19, and two women. 17 and 44.

He and Gonzales entered the house at 10:29 a.m., police said. When the victims asked Watson who Gonzales was, Watson said he did not know.
