UPI A federal court hearing is slated here Monday for two Illinois men who earlier this week were sentenced to 30-year terms for kidnaping Ricky Sledge, 21, Flora, 111., and Richard Maceri, 26, Valir, 111., were sentenced Monday in federal court at Owensboro, to 30 years for the kidnaping last July of Phyllis Teverbaugh, 17, at Madisonville, Ky.

They know face federal charges in Indiana for a kidnaping spree which followed their escape from the Franklin County Jail at Benton, 111 They were charged with first kidnaping Mr. and Mrs John Crafton at Carbondale, 111., and forcing the couple to dirve them into Indiana. The Craftons were tied up and left near Chandler, in Warrick County. Sledge and Maceri then were accused of kidnaping Jo Ann Bruce, 32, Evansville, from an Evansville shopping center and forcing her to drive them into Kentucky where she was released and the Madisonville girl kidnaped. Blacks Charge Police Brutality EVANSVILLE, Ind.

UPI Black leaders Tuesday filed two complaints of police brutality and asked for a grand jury probe into a racial disturbance last week at Harrison High School. The allegations of brutality were filed with the Evansville Police Board. The office said the request for a grand jury probe was under consideration. A half dozen or so persons were arrested and one policeman was hurt in racial distrubances which began after a football game last Thursday night and continued Friday at school. Sendak Criticizes Prosecutors INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) Attorney General Theodore L.

Sendak Tuesday criticized Tippecanoe and Laporte County prosecutors for what he said were delays in taking action against merchants who collected state sales tax and did not forward the money to the Indiana Department of Revenue. Sendak said he has received 58 cases from the Department of Revenue in 23 counties involving either failure to hand one to the state sales tax collections or failure to pay income tax. Big Fire At Indy INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) A fire on the West Side Tuesday night caused an estimated $200,000 damage to an advertising supply company in the Park Fletcher Industrial Park. Authorities said three firemen suffered injuries requiring hospitalization, but none was hurt seriously. The blaze of undetermined origin quickly spread in the Service Mailing Supply Co.

The accused kidnaper, a Cincinnati man on parole for armed robberies, turned himself in several hours later and was charged with the abduction.
