S.

Army where lie served as chaplain at Fort Bliss. has accepted a call as the leader of Congregation Agudas Achim. Rabbi Gershon. a native of New York City, began his formal religious and secular edit cation at Yeshiva under Rabbi Israel Salanter. He also attend ed Yeshiva University High School and upon graduation entered Yeshiva University, grad uating with honors.

The new Agudas Achim spiritual leader was ordained by the Rabbi Isaac Eldanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva Uni where he attended the Ferkauf Grad iiate School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Yeshiva I niversity and earned his M.S. degree. After completing his graduate studies Rabbi Gershon served as chaplain with the U.S. Army During his tour erf duty he re ceived the National Defense Medal and was appointed na tional deputy chaplain of the Jewish War Veterans. Rahbi Gershon has an exten sive background in youth work having directed and supervised the youth programs of various Jewish organizations.

He is member of the Rabbinica Council of America and the Rabbinical Alumni of Yeshiva University. He began his leadership of Agudas Achim on Sunday.
