Redwell relates an interesting account of what he considers a remarkable cure of acute stomach trouble and chronic dyspepsia by the vse of the new discovery. Stuart's Tablets. He sp.ys: The patient was a man who had suffered to my knowledge for years with dyspepsia. Everything he ate seemed to sour and create acid nd guses in the stomach; he had pains like rheumatism in the back, shoulder blades end limbs, fullness and distress after eating, poor appetite and los of flesh; the heart became affected, palpitation and sleeplessness at night. I gave him powerful nerve tonics and blood remedies, but to no purpose.

As an experiment I finally bought a 50-cent package of Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets at a drug store and gave them to hirn Almost Immediate relief was gHen and after lie had used four boxes he was to all appearances fully cured. There wes no more acidity or sour watery risings, no bloating after meals, the appetite was vigorous and he has gained between 10 and 12 pounds in weight of solid, healthv flcfcli. Although Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets are advertised and sol 1 in drug stores yet I consld '-r them a most valuable addition to any physician's line of remedies, as they are perfect harmless ar.d can be given to children or Invalids or any condition cf the stomach with perfect safety, being harmless and containing tothlng but vceetabie and fruit essences, pure pepsin and Golden Seal. I The Retail Grocers' asso iatcn of Allegheny is considering a novel plan to down the wholesale grocery monopolies, ihe members want a wholesale house of their own on the North Side, to be ior.ducted along the co-operative line.

Each grocer will be given an Interest in the concern. An effort will be mad to raise $50,000 to carry out the scheme. W. H. Good, a retail grocer of Allegheny.

Is one of the chief agitators of the new idea. He said that co-operative wholesale houses are run in New York and tee larger cities. With such an independent enterDiise, he says, all the members of the concern could get goods at low prices, thereby saving much money through the Incretised profits. The matter will come up at the next meeting of tne association. It is claimed that the North Side grocers are having some difficulty with the wholesalers at present.

1EE OIl'kEILDS. Old-time operators In the middle and northern oil heids are moving to the lower southwest in quest of new pools to develop. An operator from Butler stated yesterday that scarcely a day parsed but one or more of the ola-timers departed for the same part of the lower south- west, with Pa rkersburg or Marietta as the objective point. They, he said, had come to the conclusion that the territory in the upper country had been so thoroughly worked over that there was no longer any room for the wildcatter to secure a block of leases and driil with 1 any chance of making a winning strike, and they had to move out or quit the business. In Many Cases the Expense Is la-der-Et limited Liberal Allowance Necessary If the Tourist Would See CallforuiA Properly. Several hundred Cnristian Endeavorers In I'ittsburgh ard Allegheny and vicinity have been figuring for weeks on the probable cost a trip to the sixteenth international convention at San Francisco, July 7-12. A vnst amount of blank paper has been wasted in this way and pencils have been sacrificed by the score, for. aficr all, the prospective tourist wlil not be able to arrive at a dsfirdfe and reliable estimate until after he has returned home and counted up his balance. Then, doubtless he will find In most cases that Ms former estimates have been woefully small and will wonder he never thought of some things.

As it is there is every probability that hundreds will leave home with a sum of money which in the whirl of travel will disappear long before the mind, eye and e3r have been satisfied with what the Pacific coast has In store for the intelligent tourist. In making an estimate of expenses there are some items which can be set down with certainty and in the following calculations the railroad fare from Pittsburgh to San Francisco and return will be a fixed item nt $'32. the Pullman fare for the round trip and the tourist car fc-re for the sane trip $12. The cost of other items will vary according to the ste and clrcumstant es of the tourist. Kstimatis of the total cost of the trip differ widely.

J. Henry Stauff of this city, assistant transportation agent, has furnished an estimate showing that two persons traveling together can make the trip for a little less than each. It is as follows: Am Estimate of Cost. Fare from Pittsburgh to California and return, $12: one berth in tourist car from Chicago to California and return, $12; meals en route, $12, seven days in California at Jit per cb-y, $21; incidentals, $10, making a total expense for two of il79, or for each of 50. This estimate admits of no side trips, nor much ot arij thing but a stiaigbt run to the convention ar.d horn-? agiin.

Mr. ctauff does not recommend it to anyone who can do better, and would not advise anyone to attempt the trip for leys than $12C. estimate given out by Mr. Stauff is: Railroad fare, Pullman fare and meals en route for the round trip from Pittsburgh, $104 eight days in California zt $2. $hi; $3.

Total, This estimate Is based on principles of strict economy and the tourist will leave much unseen that he -w 111 long to see. According to another estimate a single person may make the round trip for $110. but he must u.so the tourist car from Chicago and return. All these estimates, except the lirst. provido for eight days in California and four dayj each on the outbound and return trips, making a totul absence from home of sixteen nays.

Right there is the troub'e -w i tit ail the ofiiclal estimates. Very few persons wiil care to journey to San Francisco and having attended the convention, turn around and come home, leaving most of the wonders of the Pacific coast behind them. The majority will wish to spend a mcnth oti the excursion, and that means the expenditure of ii great deal mure money. Samuei A. Myers, traveling pas-smger agent of the Union Pacific system, said yesterday that a very reliable estimate for respectable but not extravagant travel could be trade by allowing a day for every day out.

Rev. E. R. Lonehoo. who Is an experienced traveler, t-atd no o.te should expect to t-pertd less than $100 la addition to railroad fare In a llrect trip to the convention and return.

He said; "There will be incidentals beyond the calculation of most peopie. Certainly everyone will want to make a few short fide trips, as for instance, to San Jose. With his extra hundred dollars he will not be able to do any swell either. I can take the cost of a rcpect-ahle trip to Christian Endeavor convent ton and Dublin; Kdla-burgh and Paris and see all I want to see of those cities." Whnt home Will Spentl. Rev.

E. A. Linn of the Thirty-ninth Street Presbyterian ohsrch places the cost of the trip at $200 for a single per-scn. An Allegheny City pastor's wife proposes to make the trip on $12: but ia tet-ting doubtful a tout her estimate. Rev.

Dr. vV. H. McMillan of the Second United Presbyterian church, Allegheny, put 5 the cost of tho trip at $2i0, arid then says the merr.hershlp of his denomination have an arrangement by which they will board while in San Francisco for $1 per day. Rev.

J. T. McCrory, D. ex-state president of the Endeavorers. said everyone should allow himself not less than $ii per dav exclusive of all railroad and Pullman fares.

Rev. Dr. Cbalfant of the I'ark Avenue Presbyterian church, who has visited the Pacific coast live times and is authority on the question, thinks most of the estimates too low. He prefers the tourist cars to the Pullman in summer and said the cost of living in San Francisco was remarkably low, but thinks there are hundreds of things to teke the attention and the money of the tourist, which he cannot exactly estimate before leaving home. Each tourist, he thinks, should provide himself with $200 for a modest trir.

Rev. J. M. Maxwell, D. of the Mo-nongahela Presbyterian church believes in comfort when traveling long distances and would not attempt the round trip on less than t0 or t.i.

Other estimates made vesteidy differed as widely as those given. It is safe to say that a low estimate of the cost of a trip to the great convention and return, in a nodest but comfortable ptyle. will not be less than $150. It can be made, a3 Mr. Stauff ho3 shown, for less than $100, but it is lU.elv the tourist who accepts these ng-un-s wiil Trifili before he returns that he had made a more liberal ewtimate.
