The society publishes a quarterly featuring original articles on county history, book reviews and notices or related events. Founded in 1906 the society has produced a series of keepsake publications and monographs that are olTcred to new members as a thank -you for Joining. Landmark plaques hon-bring the birthplace of the University of California In downtown Oakland, and the -Pacific League Oaks baseball team In Emeryville, among others, have turn py the society In post years.
