No prize to be awarded to any employe of this paper. If two or more persona should guess the same number, the amounts to which those persons are entitled shall be equally divided.

All guesses to be sent to the Department of the Commercial Gazette. The awards to be based on the highest vote, cast fof any candidate on the Republican Electoral Ticket. As announced November 10, a total of guesses were received. Quite a number had to be thrown out of the contest on account of beinj illegible; others were not made out on the printed form and many were received entirely blank. A large, number came in after the contest closed midnight of November 5.

As stated in our issue of November 23. William II. Sayc-rs, the first elector on ne ticket, received ths largest vote cast, 712. 665, which was 403 more than the next highest man, Frank II. Buhl; therefore, the 137 guesses nearest to 712,665 are entitled to the The management of the Commercial Gazette is much pleased with the great interest taken in the contest, and, while a portion of the fnony will go out of the United States, we believe from the name, Mrs.
