1 he Baleigh Nttcs in speaking of Louisburg, and-its improvements says: Louisburg-on-the-Tar, the county seat, shows evident signs'of prosperity and from the marked improvements that could be seen on evciy side since our last visit, it is anything but a finish ed town. Mr. P. J. Brown, has recently erected a large double brick store uorth of public squire.

jB. P. Cliftou has remodeled and enlarged his two store south of the square, three new stores ve been opened on Main street and all tktt old merchants have argcly increased ibeir business and general trade. The greatest improvement that has been made in the town, and one that a iraveljug man is mostly interested in, is its tiotei accommodations. lhis Eagle Hotel, (formerly Pents.) Ls Second to but few country lwtcls iu the State.

The rooms are clean, neat and comfortable, fare unexceptjonaUy good, and well prepared, and the general accommodations equal to any hotel in the State. Travelers to Louisburg should not fad to ask for the Kagle Hotel. Another marked improvement iu the town is the completion of the new county jail, which is decidedly the best and most substantial siruciure of its character iu the State, It is built of solid granite of very superior quality, taken from a quany within fifteen paces of the building, the walls are three feet thick and most of the stones measure from four to six feet in length, not nnk so be in iioeiary arranrt-meiit! with Man ufactttrers illers and Fork ackers. and having made SPECIAL AUUAXGEMEXTS with the ail and ompa W. thervhy jm-c rln the very wi st ross'HLic rmivoT, and haiu ample weans to PAY CASH for all of our good, we inte- to sell thein much lowu than they liave ever been sold In thi market before To Merchants and Farmers who defire to buy in age, in less qui otitic- than cr lojid.
