7. Georgetown defeated Fordham on the gridiron at Fordham Field this afternoon -while J.000 peopte bore witness. The score was 13 to 0. and about measured the difference in the power of the, teams. Georgetown improved upon the two of their four chances to score, while Fordham, with two opportunities to strike telling blows, was unable to develop a real punch In the attack.

Once a fumble, with the goal line only 20 yards away, stopped the advance of the maroon. Another time McQuade, the fullback of the Southerners, intercepted a forward pass on his own 10-yard line and prevented a touchdown. Goontwown li Fordham 0. Cuaack I. Mackenzie's brilliant forward pass to Yarroll over the Bucknell goal line, and Veinseimers' dashing run through a broken field for 55 yards and a second to-chdown with the goal kicked by Eddy Cann, were the features that aroused the Violet stands to wild entnusiasm. "Wein-heimer pulled down a long forward pass from Waddell, the Bucknell quarter, before starting on his thrilling charge for the Bucknell goal. It was not until the start of the second half that Xew York began to display its real strength- Archie Brln, the little fighting center of the local team, Weinheimer, Cann, Mackenzie and Egan went ripping their way through the Bucknell team for substantial gains and soon had the 1'ennsylvanians on the run. 7. Coach Metzger abandoned scrimmage for the Washington and Jefferson team this afternoon, and on top of this action announced that there would be no more regular practice games before the Pitt clash on Saturday. The workout, however, was about as hard as a scrimmage would have been. Jletzger characterized it as a "puntinpr scrimmage," the varsity lining up against the scrubs as in a game and working down the field under kicks. The drill had its drawbacks, as two men were injured, Center Guy and Substitute Quarterback Lally both being- laid out.

It is not thought they are badly injured, but it cannot be de- Practice was resumed iiterday afternoon by the Carnegie Tech football squad, after the layoff of Monday. Assistant Coach Eyman was in charge of the Plaid gridders and he sent them through a light scrimmage. Head Coach Waiter Steffen will return from his home in Chicago today and will begin active preparations for the final game of the season with Pitt at Forbes Field one week from next Saturday. Barring accidents in the workouts, the Skibos should be able to present their strongest lineup against the Panthers. Kelly, one of the guards, was the only player to come through the Cornell game with nore than minor injuries, and he should be as sound as ever in a day or two.

Illinois and Wisconsin, especially the former three, have ruled the Western Conference so long1 that no.one took It for granted that a stranger would ever be admitted to the top. In this conference championship Ohio State and Northwestern have been the Cardinals and Red of the melee. They have been rarely taken seriously. Tet today these two are the only unbeaten conference teams. In Chick Harley Ohio State has one of the great halfbacks of the season.

His fame may not be known in the East, but few in the East ever heard of Eimer Oliphant until he came from Purdue to West Point. Harley so far has done even finer all-around work than Le Gore or Casey, for he has beaten State's two hardest rivals almost without help. The Presidential Score.
