(AP)-Victor Regalado of Tijuana, Mex., smashed the course record yesterday by shooting a 64 In the first round of the Southwest Amateur Men's Golf Association championships. The 72-hole tournament is being played over the par-70 Coronado Country Club course. In second place was Sandy Aledman, Los Angeles, with a 67. Don Truitt and Manny Martinez Jr., both of El Paso, were tied with 68s. In a four-way tie for fifth, all with 69s, were Bob Ault, Las Vegas, Nev.; Curt Cox, San Antonio, Tex.; Paul Purtzer, Phoenix, Ariz., and Bob Nieberding, Camp Pendleton, Calif. 'Last year's winner, Dr. Ed Updegraff of Tucson was among eight players tied at 76.
