John A. Whitesel of Charleston, was married June 12 in the home of lier parents to M. E. Voile, University of Illinois graduate, secretary-treasurer of the Champaign Production Credit association, and son of Henry Voile of Mt, Pulaski. Music was furnished by Mrs.

S. E. Thomas, pianist, and the ceremony was performed by Rev. Harry Blout of Roberts, friend of the bridegroom's family. The bride wore ivory satin with a redingote of marquisette, with a train, a bandeau of satin and flowers, and a bouquet of Joanna Hill roses and baby's Miss Halli'e Whitsel, maid of honor.

wore chartreuse satin and carried talisman roses. Henry Voile, of Mt. Pulaski, was best man for his brother. A reception followed the ceremony. After July 1 the couple will live in 502 West Oregon street, Urbana.

Shelbyville Miss Evelyn Lantz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Lantz, nine miles south of Shelbyville, and Eugene Mader of Chicago will be married today in the Lantz home.

and Mrs. Charles A. Wilcox of Rosamond, were married June 13 at the home of the bride's parents, west of Rosamond, by Rev. B. B.

Wood of Rosamond Community church, in the presence of about 50 relatives and close friends. Joseph Large of Chicago sang, accompanied by Miss Geraldine Wilcox. The bride wore yellow and her attendant. Miss Genevieve McAfee, wore peach lace. William Wilcox, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

Mrs. Wilcox is a graduate of Pana Township high school 1932, and has just completed her junior year at the U. of I. where she was a student in Shelbyville Miss Eva Mae Bley, daughter of Mrs. Rella Bley, and Irvin Long-enbajgh, assistant manager of the Shelbyville Roxy theater, were secretly married in Hillsboro on June 10.

She graduated from high school on June 4. home economics. Mr. Wilcox graduated in 1930 and later studied at Chicago Technical school. He is in the offices of the Link Belt Co.

W. Seiler, west of Pana, by Rev. "Ray Funk of Sadorus. Their attendants were Miss Marian Seiler. sister of the bride, and the bridegroom's brother.

Dr. Herman Rendtroff. of the Panama Colon hospital at Chris-tabel, in the Canal Zone. The bride wore white with gold accessories and wore an amber brooch which was an heirloom of the bridegroom's mother. She carried columbine, blue delphinium and honeysuckle.

The bridesmaid wore yellow chiffon and carried yellow roses and dark blue delphinium. Out-of-town guests included the bridegroom's parents. Dr. and Mrs. Walter Rendtorff.

and his sister. Miss Gertrude Rendtorff. Pullman, Mrs. Ray Funk of Sadorus. a cousin of the bride, and the immediate members of the Seiler family.

Mrs. Rendtorff graduated from the University of Illinois in 1936. She has since been employed as a designer for the Collegiate Cap and Gown Company in Champaign. Mr. Rendtorff graduated from the U.

of I. in February of this year, and now holds a responsible position in Chicago, where the young couple will make their home. Miss Clarice Elizabeth Schafer and Ralph Francis Stanfield. of Pana were married in First Methodist church by Rev. O.

E. Martin. They were attended by Miss Ila Whitlock of Vandalia and Delmar Crane of Herrin. Dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents and the couple left for Gary. where he is in the offices of the United States Steel Corporation.

The bride wore a white tailored suit with white accessories, and roses. Her bridesmaid wore blue lace and pink roses. B. degree from the University of Illinois left Shelbyville Wednesday for Seattle, where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Graham Dressier, son of Mrs. Bess Dressier.

Mr. Dressier received his Ph. D. at University of Washington, June 14. They will travel from Chicago on the "City of Portland" streamline train, will visit for the summer months in Seattle, and return through the Canadian Rockies.

He is athletic director in Beason high school. He plans to spend the summer at Champaign working on his master's degree at the University of Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hoyt left Clinton Friday for the East.

Hoyt. Following their trip East, they are to leave almost immediately for the West coast where thy have another daughter, Mrs. E. A. Hommersand at San Diego.

Calif. They expect to locate in California permanently. Mr. Hoyt is a retired Illinois Central engineer having served 42 years on the Springfield district. Clintonia home bureau unit met at the home of Mrs.

V. J. Ketter-son. A picnic supper on the lawn was followed by business, study and recreation. Mrs.

Charles Green and Miss Dorothea McHaney were chosen to prepare a unit stunt for county play day. Mrs. Paul Adams and Miss Eleanor Walsh will plan the program for August. Clothing local leaders will be Mrs. Max Rainey and Mrs.

V. J. Ketterson. The next meeting will be July 20 at 7:30 p. m.

and Mrs. Charles C. Strobel of Ramsey were hosts at a miscellaneous shower. Mrs. Settle is the former Dorothy Ann Lawlor of Ramsey.

Miss Verna Pfeifer entertained at dinner in her home in Vandalia in honor of Miss Lenore Gibbons of St. Elmo, former teacher in Vandalia who taught last year in Algonquin and is spending a brief vacation with relatives in Vandalia and St. Elmo before going to Chicago where she will spend the summer. Announcements were received in Vandalia of the marriage of Miss Norma Ankrom of Vandalia and Bruce Bingham, formerly of Mulberry Grove but now of Phoenix, Ariz. The bride, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. William Ankrom left last week and they were married in Phoenix the following day. The bridegroom is in the employ of the Woolworth Co. in Phoenix. Powell of the Methodist church. Glenn Bennett, tenor, of Berwyn. brother of the bridegroom, sang Carl Bohen's "Calm As The Night," and Cndman's "At Dawning." accompanied hv Prof. R. G.

Newell. Mr. New ell played the Lohengrin processional and Mendlesshon's recessional. The alter was decorated in ferns and white snap-dragons, with 21 white candles. The bride wore white lace and carried lilies.

She was attended by Miss Florence Curry, who wore blue lace and carried talisman roses. A reception was given oy the bride's brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. J.

C. Willard. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett left for Wisconsin which they will return to Windsor.

Mrs. Bennett is a graduate of Shelbyville high school, and of the DePauw university school of in 1935. She is a member of Mu Phi Epsilon and for two years has been teacher of music in Windsor schools. Mr. Bennett is a graduate of Windsor community high school, and is in business in Windsor.

Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Read.

A surprise party was given, for Miss Mary Lou Hayward at her home in Shelbyville in honor of her Dietrich Mrs. Delbert Lake of Tuscola is the former Ida Graham of Effingham, a bride of June 13. They were married in Marshall, with a wedding dinner afterward in Terre Haute, Ind. Willett of Villa Grove as attendants.

Mrs. Overbeay, former teacher in high school, resigned last year to teach in Dowegiac. Mich. They will live in Jacksonville where Mr Overbeay is a teacher in the school for the blind. Miss Bernice Schwarm of Loo-gootee and Presley Mattix of St.

Elmo were married June 12 in St. Elmo by Rev. C. B. Whiteside.

Attendants were Miss Audree Smith and Stanley Schwarm. The brida is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin A. Schwarm and the bridegroom is the son of Mr.
