New Drug Disclosed j To Treat Polio Ca«es j Ne\v York, July 21 f,--Aurco- rn} cin. * new drug that is being tried oa infantile paralysis ir Texas, and on a little-kno\\ n venereal disease in Xew York City, v.as formally unveiled today. This drug is in the same ciabs as penicillin aid itreptomycin that is. it is ar; antibiotic made frora chemicals that microbes produce. It was developed at tne Lederle laboratories. Xew Jersey, and \\as discussed in-a day-long s-essiori today under auspices of tne New York Academy of Sciences.
