PA01 FORTY ALtON EVENING TELEGRAPH Opening Tonight "Father of the Bride," Edward Streeter'i best«*e!ling novel of the problems of marrying off a daughter, has been made into a stage- eomedy which will Be presented by the Marquette High School seniors at the Old Cathedral Hall tonight. It is a play that is said to b« filled with all the heart-warming and poignant humor of the original book— all the fun. too, of the movie that was successfully based on the book. Anyone who has ever witnessed the marriage of a daughter, ' or that of a friend, will find a familiar echo In the predicament of James Gaul as Stanley Banks, In marrying off his 20-year-old daughter, to be played by Jane Kennedy. Others In the cast are: Patricia Niday, John Ulrlch, Gene Herren. Donald Norton, Donald Joehl, Diana Huskamp, Ruth Saale, Janice Jun, Mary Ann Nekola, Harold Korte, Margaret Droste, John Doollng, and Clem Wendle. On the production staff are Clem Wendle, BUI Fltzgibbons, John Cooling, John Long, Mary Wardein, Cella Orr, Patricia Callahan, Mary Meehfln, Colorei Quccion*, and Carol Ann Dean.
