GIRL SCOUT CAMP NEWS St Maiy's Brownie Troop No. 13, l4. and 40 mot Tuesday in the •chool hall for their Christmas party. After the movies were sliown, Santa Claus arrived and ^ave each girl a gift and candy. Ite cream and cookies were then •erved to the 105 girls. At the last two meetings of Troop No. 24 the girls worlted on Chri.stmas centerpieces which Ihey will take home for their families At I heir last meeting plans i wero made for a Christmas party] and the girls drew names for a gifi exchange. A treat of Christma' cookies was en.ioyed by Ihej girls and lenders. The girls arc preparing a basket for a needy family as a Christmas gift. At present the project of the troop is the home nursing badge. The Brownies of Troop No. 30 lini.slicd tlieir Cliristmas projects at (heir last meeting. A new girl, Ann Bakc>r. was welcomed into till troop. Happy birthday was sung to Robin Barrett by the girls. When Troop 16 mot at Grace Cinirch the girls planned a potluck dinner and gift exchange for theii' net meeting. The food com- miltee is marie up of Gail Noel. Nancy Hummel, Sharon Flint and Penny Meyers. For the decoration Janet f^ewis, Ruth Wollf, Marilyn Hum.mel and Karen Leslie will serve. The notebooks are to be turnet; in at the next meeting for checking. At their meeting Tuesday afternoon at the Girl Scout Headquarters Troop No. 22 enjoyed a very fine talk by Foster D. Roszman, a representative of the Ohio Sta^ rJivision of Wildlife. He showed film.'^, on wildlife, forestry, and erosion. A question and answer session on conservation followed, which was very helpful to the girls on their Conservation Badge. Committees were appointed for the dance that the troop is having on December 29th. At the next meeting Mrs. E. E. Fanning Camp committee Chairman will review the girls on their Pioneer Badge. Troop No. 5 met Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul's I^utheran Church with assistant—leadtir. Mrs. Troutman in charge. The girls com- Dleted their plans for their Christmas party and drew names for their gift exchange. The troop wishes everyone a very merry Christmas. A Christmas party was held Tuesday for Brownie Troop No. 9 at Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Mildred Dolan was in charge of the planning and was assisted by two nthcr Brownie mothers, Mrs. .loan Flesher and Mrs. Celeste Canino. Patty Dolan pla.ved a piano solo. The girls sang .songs and then joined in games of musical chairs. Simon Says and kangaroo. .Awards were presented to Joy .Jolitf, Susan Holzhatiser, Nanetta Guss, Lois Hart, Linda Streng. Faye Wright and Marsha DcLor. Chfistmns gifts wtre presented to the Brownies from the leaders. Ice cream, cook- ijs, candy canes, pop corn balls anu orange drink were .served after the games.
