I '<.*><•*! Republic Photo Mrs. John Parke, Mrs. David Collet arid Mrs. Thomas Scott Jr. arrange crafts and candies for Christmas bazaar. By DOROTHEE POLSON Republic Food Editor A Culinary Corner is the latest addition to the annual Holiday Heyday Christmas bazaar sponsored by St. Barnabas on the Desert with three other Scottsdale Episcopal churches. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at the parish hall, 6715 North Mockingbird Lane, Scottsdale. Proceeds benefit San Pablo Home for Boys, Good Shepherd Mission in Ft. Defiance, college work, Camp Center in Prescott, Internado Scholarship in Mexico and the Church Divinity School of the Pacific. St. Barnabas held its first Christmas bazaar 10 years ago when the church was a Quonset hut on West Main Street. Each year, as it has grown larger it has expanded its range of philanthropies. This year's event will include an antique booth, house plants, Christmas crafts, boo boos (white elephants), needlework, patch - work skirts both mini and maxi, and even a childrens' corner with prices for tiny •pocketbook's. Sandwiches and snacks will be sold to hungry shoppers. The Culinary Corner will feature frozen party foods, home - made by the members. There will be tempting hors d'oeuvres, fancy cheese spreads and cheese balls, English Trifles made by women of St. Barnabas, holiday cookies, candies, tarts and other goodies, and frozen spaghetti sauce. The women will also take orders for holiday delivery, and sell their prize recipes. To tempt you to attend, holiday recipes are offered as a sampling inside the pages of this section.
