It is one of Mason City's merriest playgrounds and it's there because for the first eight years of their married life the Taylors lived in apartments. They missed a yard for their daughters to play in. Three years ago they acquired a house—and a yard—and Taylor started the back yard playground project. The Mason Citian figures he-has put in more than 300 hours of work on the playground for his daughters, Kelly, 10; Shelly, 9, and Mindy, 6, and their young friends in the neighborhood. In winter the equipment is stored in basement and garage. Each spring it is freshly painted.
