Stanley Harrison • : .',•-' : * * * . Stanley is ^ the son of Mrs. Neva Harrison of 1606 Ama- riilo 'Street. He was born Jan. 9, 1946 in Wellington. and has done all his school work here. Stanley was very popular a- hiong his classmates. He was cKosen class favorite his freshi man year, voted the most friendly his sophomore year, and he also served as vice president of the class his freshman year and was a member of the Student Council. Outside of popularity, Stanley was an active participant in sports, track and football. He was" also in the junior play, speech play, FTA, and Science Olub. _ Stanley's hobby is water skiing. He plans to attend Ama- riilo Junior College .this 'September. Bryan Hatch Bryan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hatch of 1308 Childress Street. He was born Sept. 4, 1945 at Hollis. He has attended school at Wellington all of his school years. Bryan has, taken football 4 years, basketball 3 years, and track 3 years! He has been a member of the Student Council two •years'. Science club one year, and FTA one year. He was a class officer as a so)php- mbre and As in the senior play this year. Bryan has received Honorable Mention in All-District, captain of basketball team, and football offensive and defensive, American Legion Boys' State, Most Valuable track man, Best All Around Football Player, Personality King, and Runrier-np Class Player of the Week. His favorite subjects are speech and government. His hobbies are water skiing, hunting, fishing, riding horses, golf, tennis and swimming. Bryan is planning to attend Texas Tech and major in business administration in marketing 'and advertising. Gail Henard Gail is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edd Henard of Rt. 6, Wellington. She was born in Childress on July 16, 1946. She has attended school here in Wellington all her life. She was very active in high school. She was a cheer leader for three years, a member of FHA,' the Beta Club, Student Council for two years, Library Club, Ko Shari, annual stiaff, Science Olub, and was in the junior and senior plays. •Gail was* also Footiball Queen attendant 'her junior 'and senior years, Harvest Queen attendant her junior year. During her senior year ,she was chosen Miss School Spirit, Who's-Who, Outstanding Student in Chemistry and Speech. Her freshman year she was an Outstanding Student in World History. Gail.'hias been chosen B&PW Girl of the; Month, MYF Council member, and is a member of the Junior Girls Chorus. Her favorite subjects- are speech and government. Her favorite hobbies are skiing and sewing. She plans to attend Texas Tech College. Tim Bailey Tim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bailey of 1111 Arlington Street. He was born May 9, 1946 in Wellington and ihas attended school here all of his life. He has participated in football two years, track one year, My Thanks To The People of Precinct 1 I would like to thank the people of Precinct 1 for their consideration in the Write-In campaign my friends conducted in my behalf. His hobbies are camping and playing football. Tim doesn't know where he is going tto college yet, but he plans to major in business administration. Carol Blain Carol is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Ward of 1606 Graham Street. 'She was born April 12, 1946, in Oklahoma City. She has attended all .her school years here in Wellington. Carol has participated' in the following activities: Science Club. Beta Club, Stage Band, basketball, tennis, and Junior Hospital Auxiliary. She was vice president of PTA, president of Ti-i-<;a her senior year, band president her junior year, and Junior Music Club president her junior year. She was also a student conductor in band flier sophomore and junior years. Carol was chosen Best Ail- Around Girl her senior year; All-Distirict guard in 1961, 1962 and 1963, All-Tourney, Wellington and Paducah her senior year, and Miss Basketball her senior year. She also received a first division rating in trumpet trio and student conducting. Carol was selected Most Studious her junior year. She (placed second in extemporaneous speaking at the district literature meet. She was in the TWU All-Girl Band and All- Region Band and qualified for a state candidate in this. She has participated in the regional 'Science Fair for 3 years. She was B&PW Girl of the Month and Junior Musician of the Month. Carol's favorite subjects are speech, band and chemistry. She enjoys, as her hobbies, tennis, swimming and reading. Carol iplans to attend McMurry College in Abilene, and will major in music and (pre- law. Nancy Crawley Nancy is the daughter of Mr. •and 'Mrs. E. D. Crawley of 1508 El Paso. She was Iborn in Wellington and attended school here all her life. It is said that Nancy is very active in all of her activities. She is the drum major for this year as well as having the same position 'her junior year. She has been in band for four years, twirler two years, band council one year, B team 'basketball one year, Band Queen attendant two years, Hoslpital auxiliary one year, Library Club one year, Beta Clu!b two years, class secretary this year, also vice president of Ko iShari and a 1 member of the stage band. Nancy was also aw outstanding student in driver's education her freshman year and in band her senior year. Her favorite subjects are band, Texas history and government, while her hobbies ai'e skiing and playing the piano. Nancy plans to go to summer school in West Texas State University in June and enroll in Texas Tech in September. ior class. He plans to attend Texas Tech this fatt. • Tommy Thomas Tommy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Trusten Alf Thomas Sr., of 809 Dalhart. He was 'born Jan. 11, 1946 in Amariilo. He attended school in Grants, New Mexico and Palo Duro in Amarillo. He finished his last two years at Wellington high school. Tommy has been a member of the high school band for 4 years. He has also been a member of the Science CM> and Wellington Skyrockets, which is the stage band. Tommy's honors are Outstanding Student in Band his junior year, and was selected Most -School Spirited this year. His favorite subjects are band and math. His hobbies are stage band and fishing. Tommy plans to attend Texas Tech. Gary Bergvall Gary is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Bergvall and lives at Twelfth and El Paso Street. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Dec. 22, 1946 but attended school here all his life. He was active in football 3 years, basketball 4 years, tennis, track. FFA, and a member of the cast in a speech play and in the senior play. Gary was also chosien Basketball King his senior year. His favorite subjects are vocational agriculture and speech. He has won these honors: Lone Star F.anner Degree his junior year, 2nd Area Farm Electrician his junior year, DeKalb Award his senior year, and also Chapter Farm Electrician.
