Yesterday's report said the bag had blocked both the bronchial and trachea! tubes, some nine inches down the throat, and that Woods had died of "asphyxia" as a result of choking." Tests will be performed to determine exactly what type of pills were in the bag, detectives said. A subsequent search of the home Thursday night turned up a quantity of marijuana and other narcotics and dan- gerous drugs, police said. Lautzenheiser was arrested at the time and was being held in the County Jail last night on a charge of illegal possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $15,600. His wife, Cathy Lea Lautzenheiser, 19, and Woods' girl friend, Myra Henderson, 18, of 1932 W. Keim Drive, were released by officers following the search. The narcotics and dangerous drugs, mostly in tablet and capsule form, appeared to be loot from several recent pharmacy burglaries, police said. Three of five guns in the house also had been reported stolen recently from homes in the Valley, detectives said. Texas loses round in battle /or Spanish galleon's gold Associated Press NEW ORLEANS - Texas has lost another round in the battle over ownership of the Padre Island treasure trove. The U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals denied, without a written opinion, an appeal by Texas of a June 12 ruling by U.S. District Judge Reynaldo Garza at Brownsville. Garza ruled that he has jur- iction on grounds it involves "admiralty" matters arising from salvage operations at sea. He also denied the state's request for immunity from prosecution. Platoro Ltd., a Gary, Ind., Bus service cut for Disneyland ANAHEIM, Calif. (UPI)Bus drivers for the Southern California Rapid Transit District refused yesterday to drive across picket lines set up at Disneyland by the American Guild of Variety Artists. The buses were met by Disneyland trams at the west street gate to the park and the passengers were shuttled to the park entrance. Guild members, who perform in the live shows and attractions a t Disneyland, went on strike last Saturday in support of demands for higher wages. salvage firm, recovered a large amount of treasure from a 400-year-old Spanish galleon sunk off Padre Island. Platoro claims it recovered the items from the sunken vessel under a contract with Texas Land Commisioner Jerry Sadler. The firm claims. Sadler agreed to a 50-50 split between Texas and the firm. Sadler said he got Platoro to return the treasure to Texas by going through the motions of signing a contract. The state then took possession of the items and obtained an injunction forbidding Platoro from further salvage operations. Platoro then filed a federal suit requesting full title to the treasure, claiming it was a salvage operation. The state claimed it was not an admiralty matter because the items were buried under at least 20 feet of soil which had to be washed away to recover the artifacts. Cline, they heard the whirling sound of a surveillance camera. One bandit reached up, ripped out the camera and a sectidn of the ceiling. Neither he nor his partner could remove the film so they fled, taking the camera with them. 19,0 unbwm ELECTRIC MOWERS Iv'lltCn GMttMej irvMH) • Rotary Fret Wheeling • Cutting Height Vt" to 2W • 5 Height Adftstmentt • Motor ti Seriei Wound ... high load torque exceed* 3 HP gasoline engine.
