Algona Couple Wed 40 Years Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1967 Algona (la.) Upper DM Mobm-7 Mr. and Mrs. Mike Heiderscheldt of Algona will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Feb. 19 at an open house from 2 to 5 p. m. at their home, 715 North Woodworth Street. The event Is sponsored by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Heiderscheldt and Mr. and Mrs. James Helderscheidt. No formal Invitations will be sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. (Glenn's studio Photo) FRIENDS OF Bridget Gaffney, nurses aide at the Kossuth hospital when Mrs. NitaIsaacson managed it, will be interested in learning she is now living in Clear Lake and is a companion in a private home. MR. AND MRS. Leo Lallier and family, Ventura, came Sunday for a visit with Mr. Lallier's mother, Mrs. Sarah Lailier, and Mrs. Leo Lallier's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bowman. BAPTISMAL RITES were held Sunday in St. Cecelia's Catholic MR. AND MRS. Roger Radlg and family, Lone Rock, are leaving this weekend for a visit at Washington, HI. with Mrs. Radig's brollier-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Don Craig, and will be accompanied by Mrs. Earl Bowman, mother of the women. Mr. Radig is on vacation and the visitors will be gone three or four days. MRS. ALICE CLAYTON was visited one day last week by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Roethler, Livermore. MR. AND MRS. Paul James and the latter's sister, Mrs. Remit Burtis, Waterloo, went to Davenport recently to visit their daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Makuuchi and Jamie and Mrs. Alezander Soroka from Highland Park, Mich. MR. AND MHS. Willard Salisbury have gone to Waukegan, HI. Mr. Salisbury is in service and has been stationed on the west coast most of the time and has spent many months aboard ship. They were guests here of Mrs. Salisbury's mother, Mrs. Tillie *jt°tnin3nj and °ic» spent some time with her sister and brother- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hungate. ERNEST EGEL and Frank Mittlieder went to Cedar Rapids Tuesday to attend an Oliver school a couple of days. Louis Egel had planned to go, but became ill and was unable to accompany them. MR. AND MRS. LeroyCrapser went to Mason City Tuesday to the Memorial Clinic where Mr. Crapser had further treatment for his wrists, injured some time ago in a mechanical accident. He is getting along well but the process is slow. Leroy Crapser and his mother, Mrs. Anna Crapser, Mason City, went to attend the funeral services for Mr. Granger's uncle, Albert Stolenberg, who died of a heart attack. Ha and his wife were in an auto accident not long ago and she was killed instantly. WEEKEND GUESTS of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hirgreaves were Mrs. Dorothy Robison, Dakota City, and Mrs. Esther Cook, Mason City. Mrs. Cook also visited har son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Allen. church for Scott Charley, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Robinson. A family dinner was held after the rites and were attended by the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Robinson, Jean, Joanne, John and Jim, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Metzen and Joe Metzen, the great-grandmother, Mrs. Eliza Angle and Charley Alyward of Dover, Delaware. He and Joanne Robinson were sponsors. Mr. Alyward and William were in service together and the former is still in service and stationed at Dover. His home is at Cincinnati, Ohio. CHET COOK, former Algonan now living at Spencer, is in Veterans hospital at Omaha, and is recovering from surgery for removal of a kidney. Ha is in the radiator repair business at Spencer. MR. AND MRS. Ralph Elbert were visited over the weekend by Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Anderson, Omaha. Mrs. Anderson is the former Maxlne Hargreaves and she and Mr. Anderson also spent some time with other relatives. TED KELLEY was taken to Perry last week where he took a train for San Diego and Los Angeles, Calif, to spend the winter with his sons and daughters-in-law. He has the clock shop here. MRS. ELIZABETH POST left Monday for Denver, Colo, for a visit with her son Bob and family and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Zittritsch, Aurora. MR. AND MRS. Floyd Erickson were visited last Tuesday by the latter's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Hartl, Eagle Grove. The mother, Mrs. Charles Armstrong, was also present. She is for the time being making her home with another daughter, Mrs. Virgil Jennings. MR. AND MRS. Gene Faulstlch have been visited by the former's brother, Sgt. Charles Faulstich, who is stationed at Knob Nostra, Mo. They have also had as guests, Mr. and Mrs. Red Jasulke, Fairmont. MR. AND MRS. Charles Fox had as weekend guests their son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Campbell, Sheldon. Mr. Campbell went from here Saturday to Humboldt to attend a Reserves meeting. WENDELL FRENCH has returned from a business trip via plane to Tacoma, Wash., where he attended a meeting of the St. Regis Paper Co. of the Forest Products division with which he is associated. MARILYN THILGES, St. Joe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thilges, associated with Mrs. Elva Hall in her beauty salon, went to St. Ann hospital for examinations Friday after her car slid on ice and went into a ditch when she was en- route here. She suffered no injuries other than a few bruises and soreness after a jolt. MRS. NICK FISCH accompanied Mrs. H. M. Smith to Ft. Dodge last week to visit Mary Streit at Mercy hospital. Miss Streit is making very good recovery from recent major surgery, walks around as she chooses and will probably be dismissed in a short time.
