Fork Title RAY CAIILTON AMERICAN FORK - Seven lovely girls will be competing for the title of Miss American Fork on May 3 at the high school auditorium. The pageant will begin at 7:30 p.m., according to Barbara Mulchings, who is co-chairman with Leola Durrani. Nancy Thomas, Sherie Ault, Karen Wright, Lynetle Ditlevsen, Shauna Pedersen, Qndy Peterson, and Mary Ann Heiner have entered the competition for the 1975 title. The rules of the contest arc the same as those of the Miss Utah and Miss American pageants Mrs Mulchings said the contestants will begin selling tickets to the Miss American Fork Scholarship Pageant this week, and emphasi/ed the preferential seating will be given to those who buy in advance, as the box office will not begin selling selling tickels on the night of the pageant until 7:30 p.m. The girls and their mothers met at the home of Mrs. Mulchings and were given some valuable advice by members of Ihe commilleee and the 1974 royally, Miss American Fork, Carolee Bond and her allendants, Kalhleen Smilh and Shalana Larson. Modeling and dance inslruction will be given the girls by Carolyn Smilh before the pageant. Other committee members are Cathy Bromley, awards; Wayne Durrani, finance; Willa Nelson, judges; Joy Alldredge, portrails, tickets and program; DeAnn Thrasher, staging; Joyce Taylor, past queen's luncheon; Lueila Little, past queen's scrapbook; Lynn Wootlon, lighting, and Charles Biggins, photography. Jack Larsen will be the music co-ordinator and masler of ceremonies al Ihe pageanl Ihis year. (Mary Ann Heiner was not present for the picture.) Orem Man Happy With Trade Choice It took Ray Carlton quile a few years to find his niche, but it paid off when he finally did. He first attended Brigham Young University as a music major, then he left school to serve an LDS mission, then Ray looked for a vocation he would like that would pay him enough to make it worthwhile. He found it at Utah Technical College at Provo in the electrical and automation field. Local Auditions Set Tonight for Charlie Brown Tryouts for Ihe Valley Children's Thealre production of "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown," will be held between 7 and 10 o'clock tonight at the Provo Utility Building, 250 W. 800 N., Provo. Any person inleresled in trying out should be prepared to sing a song, perferable from the show and to read from the script. An accompanist will be provided. Ray is one of many who trained, or is training, at Ulah Tech for a profitable career, according to Rulon J. Wells, technology division chairman at the college. Four quarters at Utah Tech were temporarily terminated while Ray got married and made his start as a family man. He returned to Utah Tech to graduate last month, working in his field to supplement his income during his schooling. The result? A good job in industrial electrical Maintenance for the FMC Mining Company at Green River, Wyo. His job was waiting for him on graduation, said Mr. Wells, as so many are for Utah Tech graduates, officials at the college reported. Ray is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Carlton, Orem. Airline Fleet Sl.NCAl'OHK ilTIi - Singapore Airlines' fourth Boeing 747 aircraft will be in operation by April, a .spokesman said SA's fleet also includes five 737s and II 707s.
