Shipman Rd. on-Cob — Raisin Enrich&d Bread Pudding — teed Coffee or Tea - Milk, Measurements are level CALICO BEAN BAKE 1 can (1 lb, 1 oz.) butter beans i can (1 Ib.) red kidney beans 1 can (1 lb.) vegetarian beans In tomato sauce 2 tbsp. butter % c. fine-chopped onion ifa c. chopped green pepper % c. shredded processed American cheese ty tsp. salt 2 medium tomatoes, sliced 6 triangular slices processed American cheese Thoroughly drain butter beans and red kidney beans. Combine with vegetarian beans in buttered 1% qt. casserole. Melt butter in skillet; add onion and green pepper. Cook-stir until onion is transparent, but not brown. In large low baking dish, combine onion, green pepper, shredded cheese and salt with beans. Bake 30 min; in moderate oven, 350 degrees F. Remove from oven. Top with tomatoes and cheese slices. Return baking dish to oven and bake until mixture is thoroughly heated and lightly ; browned on top. Serves 6. CREOLE CHEESE SANDWICH SPREAD Ingredients: 2 c: . • <% Ib.) shredded sharp American cheese — % c. fine-diced green pepper — 6 slices diced cooked bacon — —6 tbsp. chili sauce — tsp. Worcestershire sauce; To Make: Combine and mix all ingredients. Spread generously between halves of buttered rolls, buns, or thick slices of French bread. Place on a baking sheet. Put in a hot oven, 425 degrees F., until lightly browned. Makes 3 c. spread, enough for 6 to 8 sandwiches. SWISS CHEESE RAMEKINS Ingredients: i recip> American pie pastry or a mix; % Ib. grated Switzerland Swiss cheese; 1 tbsp. flour % tsp. pep per; % tsp. salt; 3 eggs; 1 c. light crepi. • . To Make: Line individual tart pans with pie pastry. Cover with cheese. Mix together flour, pepper, salt and 3 eggs, well beaten. Add cream and pour over cheese.
