Blaze sweeps 5 acres of forest near Flagstaff Northern Arizona Bureau FLAGSTAFF - A blaze swept through an estimated five acres of forest Thursday afternoon near the west base of Mt. Elden, at the north outskirts of Flagstaff. About 70 Forest Service fire fighters plus personnel from the Flagstaff Fire Depart- 60 pet. of fires in Kingman area believed arson KINGMAN - Local fire officials said Thursday they suspect arson in more than 60 per cent of the fires reported here since June 1. Two fire departments and the Bureau of Land Management fire-fighting crew have fought more than 70 blazes in the last four weeks, with at least 45 believed set. One fire caused extensive damage to a house and more than 1,000 acres near Kingman.
