Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for the construction of County road work in Allen County, State of Kansas, said road work known as Humboldt-Elsmore (County Patrol No. 10-B) rci, will be received at the office of the County Clerk at Iola, Kansas, until 11 oclock a. June 9, 1927, and then publicly opened. Said proposed Improvement includes the construction of a 16 feet wide Seal (Mat) Coat road together with all work involved and Indicated by the plans and specifications herewith.

The net length of road to be constructed or improved is 13.22 miles, and is briefly described as (follows: Beginning at the N. W. Corner of the S. W. Quarter, of Section 5, T.

26 R. 19 E. then easterly for a distance of 13.22 miles to the S. E. Corner of the S.

W. Quarter of Section 7, T. 26 R. 21 E-. and said corner being the point of ending.

Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check for five (5) per cent of the bid, made payable to the Chairman of the Board of County Ccmmlssrioners as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract and give bond as required. Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for the construction of Federal Aid Bridge work In Allen County, State of Kansaq, said bridge work being located on the road known as K-6 road, and being designated as Section Project No. 328, will be received at the office of the County Clerk at Iola, Kansas, until 11 oclock a. m. Fred Scheifelbine is working at the Fetherngill, farm. A very pleasant surprise was planned and carried out on the Clayton family Sunday, May 1, Chen the friends and neighbors went in with well filled baskets for a farewell dinner before the family moves. Mr. Clayton left last week for Oklahoma where he has employment, but Mrs.

Clayton and daughters will not leave until school is out. They are staying with Mr. Claytons parents while here. Those who enjoyed the day were: Mr. and Mrs.
